                HOLIDAYS’ HOMEWORK
Dear Parent(s),
‘Exciting time is here again!
It’s time for Summer Vacation and fun filled activities’. Children are reservoirs of
potential which needs to be tapped and channelized in diverse ways. We at SRSM feel
that it is extremely significant to fire their imagination and cultivate an outlook that
helps them stimulate, explore and ascertain their contemplations and deliberations.
Summer Vacation is the best and productive time for learning and creativity. It is the
time when you can actually get an insight into your child’s own world and be an enduring
member of his faculty and life as well.
Our Holidays’ Homework would teach the children to think independently and creatively
and would polish their basic academic skills such as reading, writing, spellings, learning
and presenting.
A few suggestions that you may keep in mind.
Spare some time to listen to your children and get connected to them emotionally
and mentally as well.
Help your children to know the difference between rights and duties and let
him/her play his/her role independently.
Sit with your children and discuss some household issues in front of them and make
them feel that their opinion also matters.
Converse with your children in English as much as possible.
Encourage your children to read books to enhance their language skills. Reading will
also boost their interpretative skills and provide them valuable literary experience.
Cultivate sportsmanship by encouraging your children to play various indoor
and outdoor games.
 Closely monitor their leisure time. Keep them fruitfully occupied so that they do not
get excessively lured into watching TV. Encourage them to watch English content on the
TV as far as possible.
 Remember that Summer Vacation is the time to relax and enjoy, so spend these
holidays creating a stimulating environment filled with fun, frolic, learning and
education.
NOTE:
Do not get the Holidays’ Homework done by anyone else. It must be the effort
of the child. Parents must act as guides and facilitators but not substitutes to do the
work.
 Do written homework on A4 size sheets and bring the same in a beautifully
decorated folder (one for each subject).
