Today you will hike the sensational track between Tsumago to Nojiri. The trail travels

by train to Kiso-Fukushima. Stay at a traditional Ryokan and relax and rejuvenate in

DAY 3: HIKE FROM YABUHARA TO NARAI

You will be driven back to Kiso-Fukushima after breakfast, where you will board a train
bound for Yabuhara. Explore this atmospheric village before travelling via train to

Chikatsuyu village. Overnight at a family run Minshuku (inn).
DAY 3: HIKE FROM CHIKATSUYU TO HONGU
Walking Distance: 7km/Approx 2hrs
Today, walk a gentle section of the trail from Hosshinmon-oji to the Kumano shrine at
Hongu, one of the three ‘Grand Shrines of Kumano’. From the Kumano shrine, a short
bus ride will bring you to either Yunomine Onsen, one of the oldest natural hot-spring
villages in Japan, or to Kawayu Onsen, famous for its thermal water bubbling to the
surface of the crystal clear river. Enjoy a relaxing soak in a Japanese bath after your
delicious, multi-course Kaiseki style dinner.
DAY 4: EXPLORE HAYATAMA GRAND SHRINE

Take the morning to explore the atmospheric village of Yunomine Onsen or Kawayu
Onsen. Travel by bus along to Shingu and visit the Kumano Hayatama Taisha, one of
