The Forte Village is a ‘one of a kind’ resort. In 2017 the prestigious World Travel
Awards awarded the resort the accolade ‘World’s Leading Resort’ for the 20th
consecutive year, and also ‘World’s Leading Family Resort 2017’ and ‘World’s
Leading Sports Academy 2017.’
This trade directory is provided to assist travel agents and reservations staff to
respond to questions regarding the accommodation and facilities. New
experiences are created every year; chapter descriptions are supported by tables
and guides at end of the directory. Thank you for your support.
Set in 47 hectares of lavish gardens and private grounds all set in a private park
along a soft white sand beach on the south coast of the Italian island of Sardinia.
For the perfect holiday, guests have a choice of 8 hotels (4 and 5 star) plus 11
private luxury villas, 21 restaurants in high season, a unique world class
thalassotherapy spa, and infinite facilities for sports, sports academies, go-karts,
leisure and evening entertainment.
The resort has just completed a €40m ‘new era’ refurbishment program which
includes all accommodation and new services such as the beach-front Forte Bay
restaurant complex, all-weather pool covers for the year round Thalasso SPA.
Shows this year at the Forte Arena adjacent to the Forte Village range from Sting
and Shaggy, to the ballet Swan Lake.
At Baia delle Palme there is a new Aquapark with exciting water chutes and water
games for younger kids; plus a new infinity pool with sea view for le Dune guests.

Location
Forte Village is a destination in itself, set on the south-west coast of the island of Sardinia, near Pula, just 45 km from the
Island’s capital, Cagliari, and its international airport.
The Resort
Forte Village is a private park, safe, secure and exclusively reserved for hotel guests, no cars are allowed inside. From the
main reception you can reach any part of the resort in just 4 minutes’ walk. Each of the 8 hotels has a unique style of
accommodation, a dedicated restaurant for breakfast and a choice of dinner restaurants included in the half board rate for
that hotel. Guests can also enjoy the excellent gourmet restaurants by making a reservation and paying a suppl ement.
Hotels 4*
The Bouganville, Le Palme and Il Borgo are areas of 4-star bungalows located within the lush gardens that are ideal for
couples, and for families with children of all ages.
Hotels 5*
The Le Dune, located near the beach, offers large bungalows and luxurious s uites. Hotel Castello is an elegant luxury hotel
near the sea with its own heated swimming pool. Villa Del Parco is an intimate hotel ideal for couples. A member of Leading
Hotels of the World, it is located in private gardens adjacent to the Acqua forte SPA and it has a rooftop gourmet restaurant.
The Hotel Pineta is a trio of two storey courtyards nestled in a pine grove with newly refurbished ground floor rooms.

restaurants in high season include the authentic Trattoria Italiana with regional Italian cuisine, an Italian Hell’s Kitchen, a
Gordon Ramsay restaurant and the new Cookies Cream vegetarian restaurant. Half board includes breakfast and dinner.
Wine is not included in the half board except at the Pineta Restaurant which has house wine and mineral water included
with the buffet.

Sardinia is one of the most enchanting islands in the Mediterranean, fabled for its beautiful beaches and blue waters it is the
only place in Europe comparable to the Caribbean or Indian Ocean and less than 2 hours flight from most European cities.
Forte Village Location
Forte Village looks out onto a golden stretch of beach between Santa Margherita di Pula and Capo Spartivento. It is just 45
km and 45 minutes’ drive from Cagliari the capital of the island. There are flights to Cagliari international airport from all the
main Italian and European cities. The price of the transfer , Cagliari airport to Forte Village starts from approximately €130.00
each way for a car (max 3 people) and from approx. €190.00 each way for a minivan (4 to 8 persons).
Climate at the Forte Village
South Sardinia has a mild Mediterranean climate with 300 days of sun year round. Forte Village Resort is surrounded by a
mountain range which shields it from the cold north and north-west winds so it has a very special sub-tropical climate with
mild year round weather. The temperature is around 23°C in spring and rarely goes above 36°C in summer. In June and July
the sea temperature varies between 24°C and 29°C.
The Forte Village is green and nature friendly
Eighty per cent of the products we use at the resort are organic and locally produced. Our efforts to help protect the
environment include using low energy lightbulbs, watering our grounds with recycled water and water from a private
reservoir, recycling refuse and using electric vehicles within the resort. Forte Vil lage was voted by top international Travel
Agents “World Leading Green Resort” in 2010 and 2011.

Forte Village offers a choice of 8 magnificent hotels which include 3 four-star hotels, Bouganville, Le Palme and Il Borgo,
and 5 five-star hotels which include Hotel Il Castello, Hotel Pineta, Le Dune the Villa Del Parco and the Waterfront Suites
plus there are 9 luxurious Villas each with a private garden and private swimming pool.
Interiors range from Deluxe Bungalows to elegant Mediterranean style Hotel Suites, Waterfront Suites and luxury villas. All
rooms have air conditioning, broadband connection, bath or shower (some have both), outside telephone line, satellite TV,
hairdryer, safe and minibar. Available on request an extra cot (length 120 cm, Width 60 cm, Height 60cm).
RESTAURANTS There are 3 types of restaurant: à la carte, grill and buffet. Some require an advance reservation and a
supplement, see the restaurant guide. Each hotel has its own breakfast restaurant and a main restaurant plus a choice of 3
or more other restaurants for dinner included in the half board rate. The restaurants available for everyone are the Brazilian,
Forte Grill, the Sardinian restaurant and La Pineta buffet.
REFURBISHMEN T All of the bungalows in the Bouganville and Le Palme have been upgraded and refurbished to the new
larger and restyled Deluxe Bungalows. All have a large bathroom with bath and shower and a bedroom with sofa area for 2
adults. In some bungalows the sofa is a sofa-bed for a small child. The rooms of the Villa Del Parco mai n building and Il
Borgo have also been completely refurbished.
