Getting There
Great Barrier Reef Airport – Hamilton Island
The Hamilton Island Airport is the main air
hub for the Whitsundays Islands and Great
Barrier Reef and is the gateway to Hamilton
Island. The airport caters for direct flights
from Cairns and east coast capital cities by
Jetstar, Virgin Australia and QantasLink as
well as private charters and locally operated
light planes, seaplanes and helicopters.

Wild Life Hamilton Island
Wild Life Hamilton Island is located on
the resort side of the island and provides
vistors with the chance to get up close
and personal with some of Australia’s
unique wildlife. The park is home to a
range of marsupials, snakes and lizards,
birds and even a crocodile. Join one of the
informative guided tours, cuddle a koala,
feed the kangaroos or just relax at the

Bushwalking

Island. The series of 18 flat-topped coral
pinnacles form a stepping stone effect and
