Questions? Email zorner@parkinson.org or Call 763-317-1308Q&A
Q. What will the Drive-Thru Event be like?
Drive through a route decorated with engaging Parkinson’s themed visuals, and stop
to interact at a variety of fun stations. Enjoy music from local performers Sarah Morris,
Katy Vernon, and The Squires Band, as well as an art demonstration from local
muralist Yuya Negishi. Plus, receive exclusive prizes and swag!
Q. Will the event be safe?
We are closely following all CDC and MN Health Department guidelines. Our official
safety plan will be available before and at the event. All of our volunteers will have
received a health-screening and will be wearing protective equipment. Social
distancing practices and frequent sanitation will be in use.
Q. Will I need to wear a mask?
Since there will be multiple opportunities to receive fun prizes and interact through the
windows of you vehicle, the MN Health Department requires that all attendees and
volunteers wear a mask at all times, even in vehicles.
Q. Will I be able to get out of my vehicle?
At this time the MN Health Department requires that all participants stay in their
vehicles at all times except to use the restroom. We have been consulting with event
specialists from across the country to provide a wide-range of safe, fun, and engaging
activities available from the comfort of your vehicle!
Q. Will there be an actual “Walk” this year?
Brand-new for 2021, we are offering accessible Exercise Challenges and Parkinson’s
Walk Routes available for you to checkout at your convenience! Log your activities
and steps through the Moving Day App to earn fun prizes! LEARN MORE HERE!
Q. Is there a cost to attend?
While there is no cost to attend, we do ask that everyone in your vehicle register at
MovingDayTwinCities.org to show your support, complete our event waiver, and track
fundraising rewards. We highly encourage you to fundraise and donate to help
support our Parkinson’s Community!
Q. If I miss a station, can I make a second loop of the event?
Yes, as long as traffic permits, you can head back to the entrance for a second loop!
Q. Can I bring my dog?
For the safety of your pet, as well as our volunteers and performers, we ask that you
leave your furry friends at home. (Except for Service Animals which are allowed)

Q. Can I make a donation at the Drive-Thru?
Yes! We will be able to accept cash and check donations at the event. To make a
credit card donation, you can always head to MovingDayTwinCities.org. Donations
made at the event WILL qualify for rewards!
Q. If Covid-19 has calmed down, will we move to a traditional walk?
As of April 2021, MN State Guidelines allow us to run a Drive-Thru Event, but not a full
in-person event. Preparing for Moving Day each year takes thousands of hours of
staff and volunteer time. Even if a those restrictions are lifted, we will not be able to
change course. We look forward to seeing you out in-person for Moving Day Twin
Cities 2022!!!
Q. How will fundraising rewards work this year?
You can earn rewards for fundraising just like previous years! Our rewards deadline is
May 1, so make sure to get moving now! Rewards will be available for pickup at the
Moving Day Drive-Thru Event. For those who are not able to attend, other
opportunities will be made available after the event. LEARN MORE HERE!
Q. Can I pick up rewards for other people?
Yes! Please make sure to know what size t-shirt they will need. To qualify for rewards,
participants must be registered for the event at MovingDayTwinCities.org and
donations must be credited to their “Participant Center.”
Q. Can I still take part in Moving Day Twin Cities if I can’t attend the Drive-Thru
Event?
Yes! We have multiple ways to get involved this year. Checkout our New Exercise
Challenges to earn rewards for getting out and moving! You can also join us for our
new Interactive Virtual Moving Day com on May 22. Just head to
MovingDayTwinCities.org at noon on May 22 (or anytime after) to check it out!
Q. I’ve heard that there will be PDGENEration Genetic Testing at the event, how
do I sign up?
If you are interested please sign up for one of the "Drive-Thru+ PDGENE" options on
the Eventbrite Signup Page. You will be contacted by one of our staff members to
complete additional required paperwork. At this time we are only able to provide free
testing for individuals diagnosed with PD, though hope to include family members in
the future. If all slots have been filled, you can still signup to have a testing kit
delivered to your home. To learn more head to Parkinson.org/PDGENEration
