  WELCOME
  MINISTRY IN ACTION
+ GATHERING WORDS
Come, friends, and sit with him who cares for family and strangers alike.
We gather with the one whose lavish love has been poured out for all.
Let us bring to him our best, and pour out our lives as a gift to him.
May our hearts be open to the beauty of Christ’s presence as we worship
him in spirit and in truth.
+ OPENING SONG Days of Elijah Robin Mark (CCLI#:1537904)

 + PRAYER OF BROKENNESS
Purifying God, we grow comfortable with the way things are in our lives,
in the church, and in the world. We do not always welcome the new life
you offer in Christ, for you overturn our notions of power and protocol.
Sure of our own righteousness, we are critical of others. Wanting to control
our assets, we hoard the gifts you give us. Forgive us, we pray, for seeking
our gain at the expense of others. Help us bend our lives toward your own
life of self-giving and sacrifice. Fill us, our homes and churches, the whole
world, with the abundant love of Christ until all are made new. Hear us now,
as we continue to confess in the silence of our hearts...
                                     (Silence is kept)

   KYRIE Lord, Have Mercy 551
                         Lord, have mercy; Christ, have mercy;
                            Lord, have mercy upon us.
                         Lord, have mercy; Christ have mercy;
                            Lord, have mercy upon us.
+ ASSURANCE OF GOD’S GRACE
We worship a forgiving God, whose mercy is never ending, whose heart abounds in
steadfast love. Because of the love of Jesus Christ, nothing can separate us from the
love of God. Hearing this good news, know that we are forgiven and be at peace!
      Thanks be to God!

+ RESPONSE Holy, Holy, Holy 556
                                   Holy, holy, holy Lord,
                                 God of power and might,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
                                  Hosanna in the highest.

THE LORD’S PRAYER (All Sing)
Our Father, which art in heaven: Hallowed-a be thy name
Thy kingdom come; they will be done: Hallowed-a be thy name
On earth as it is in heaven: Hallowed-a be thy name
Give us this day, our daily bread: Hallowed-a be thy name
And forgive us all our sins: Hallowed-a be thy name
As we forgive those who sin: Hallowed-a-be thy name
And lead us not into temptation: Hallowed-a be thy name
But deliver us from evil: Hallowed-a be thy name
For thine is the kingdom, the power and glory: Hallowed-a be thy name
     Forever and ever, Amen. Amen.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
Lord God, in deep gratitude for this moment, this meal, these people,
we give ourselves to you. Take us out to live as changed people because
we have shared the living bread and cannot remain the same. Ask much
of us, expect much from us, enable much by us, encourage many through
us. So, Lord, may we live to your glory, both as inhabitants of earth and
citizens of the commonwealth of heaven. Amen.
