What is a study score and how is
   it calculated?
VCE study scores and how they're calculated.
During Year 11 and 12, you're given School Assessed
Coursework (SACs) and at the end of the year, you have
the final exam to test your competency on the subject.
The marks you get for the SACs and final exam are used to
determine your raw study score for each of your VCE
                   subject.

What is a VCE study score?
You'll receive a raw study score once you've completed your subject at the
end of the year. The raw study score is between 0 and 50, however, this is
not a score out of 50. The raw study score is the ranking of your
performance relative to all other students who studied the same subject
that year. The median score is 30, which means if you have a raw study
score of 30 then you have performed better than half of all students. If you
have a study score of 40, then you've performed better than about 91% of
all students who took the same subject.

                  Scaled study score.
Before you get your ATAR, the raw study scores you receive for your different
VCE subjects need to be scaled to consider the different levels of competition in
different study areas. Maths and science subjects usually scale-up, arts subjects
scale down while English and business subjects normally remain the same.
Scaling is not based on a subject's perceived difficulty, but on its
                  competitiveness.

CHIROPRACTIC, OSTEOPATHY & REMEDIAL MASSAGE 2021

According to the Good Universities Guide –

Chiropractors diagnose and treat health problems related to the nervous, muscular and skeletal systems,
particularly the spine, without the use of drugs or surgery. They adjust patients' spine or other joints to
correct joint dysfunctions interfering with proper nervous system control and integration of body function.

Osteopaths diagnose, treat and provide preventative advice about disorders that affect the body's
musculoskeletal system, using manual techniques to alleviate stresses and dysfunction to improve the
body's function. They treat patients using a variety of manual techniques, such as soft tissue stretching,
muscle relaxation, gentle mobilisation or manipulation

Massage Therapists assess and treat the soft tissue of the body for therapeutic purposes. They administer
treatments to promote relaxation, improve blood circulation and relieve muscle tension.
