Holden NZPGA Championship - Event Guide Corporate Hospitality & Sponsorship Opportunity - Wed 4th - Sun 8th March, 2015
1. The executive summary
• Auckland is to host one of only two premium golf tournaments held in New Zealand - the Holden NZPGA
    Championship (NZPGA)
• The intention is to create and then grow the Holden NZPGA event - built on solid partnerships. The event has
mana, and heritage of over 100 years - a solid platform to build from
• Growth will be achieved by more innovation in, and around, the event, engaging with Corporate Auckland,
Auckland City, Auckland Transport, and the Auckland Golfing Community – the objective to create peripheral
events, within the event, that golfers (north of Taupo for starters) will wish to attend, participate in and enjoy
• The event is timed to happen from March 5th – 8th 2015, one week prior to the NZ Golf Open (at The Hills,
Queenstown), thus building efficiencies for organisation, players and potentially sponsors
• The NZPGA will work with ATEED to create the Holden NZPGA as an iconic Auckland event, thereby increasing
hotel/motel occupancy in Auckland, during the month of March, and creating increased visitor numbers
• The NZPGA seek to work with strategic (sponsor) partners, and to grow the Holden NZPGA tournament into
the best professional and community golfing event in NZ
• In doing so, the NZPGA, will endeavor to customise sponsor needs and/with opportunities to create win:win
    outcomes for all

Remuera Golf Club is often described as the product of three golf courses – all built on the same piece
of land. Today’s course – established in 1974 – emerged from two earlier courses. The Club recently
 celebrated its 75th Anniversary.

The Remuera Golf Club offers the required facilities, along with an enthusiastic management team that
see the opportunity in hosting the NZ PGA Championship in 2015, and beyond.
