Bhutan Six Senses Bhutan Hotel Opening Opened
Six Senses Bhutan has opened its first three of five lodges in Thimphu,
Punakha and Paro. Spread over the kingdom’s west and central valleys,
each lodge will vary in style that takes after the valley it resides in. There
will be 82 rooms in total, and each location will have its own spa and
wellness centre. Activities offered include, local farming in Gangtey;
treehouse dining at Bumthang; and a private dinner in the 15th century
stone ruins at Paro. The next two lodges in Gangtey and Bumthang will
open soon in the summer of 2019.

Phnom Penh Hyatt Regency Hotel Opening 2020
Phnom Penh
Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced that a Hyatt affiliate has
entered into a management agreement with Chip Mong Group for a new
Hyatt Regency hotel in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh. Expected to open
in 2020, Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh marks the first Hyatt Regency hotel
in Cambodia, adding to Hyatt’s growing portfolio in Southeast Asia.
Phnom Penh Courtyard by Hotel Opening Opened

The 186-room hotel opened in Phnom Penh’s CBD near Monivong
Penh
Boulevard, less than a mile from the Royal Palace and the Wat Phnom
temple. Facilities include a lobby lounge, two meeting spaces, an all-day
dining restaurant The Mekong, a 24-hour fitness centre and outdoor pool
on the 20th floor, and The Deck, a rooftop bar serving cocktails and DJ
beats on select days.

Chenngdu Canopy by Hilton Hotel Opening Opened
Chengdu City
Hilton has introduced the Canopy by Hilton-brand to Asia-Pacific with a

launch in Chengdu. Located next to Tianfu Square, the property offers 150
‘Just-Right’ rooms ranging from 50m2 to 100m2. Guests will be able to enjoy
facilities such as the 24-hour fitness centre on the 32nd floor, two F&B
options, and the all-day Canopy Lounge. The new property also boasts a
Transfer Lounge, said to be the first-of-its-kind in China, where guests with
early arrivals or late departures can use facilities including luggage lockers,
a private changing cabin and showers. There are also complimentary bikes
for hire.
Beijing The PuXuan Hotel Hotel Opening Opened
and Spa
The PuXuan Hotel and Spa, designed by the Shanghai-based firm MQ-
studio, has 92 guestrooms and 24 suites. At The PuXuan Club guests have
access to a fully serviced lounge, a fitness center and an assortment of
indoor and outdoor venues for corporate and social gatherings. The hotel
will also have an Urban Resort Concepts UR SPA with treatments that
combine traditional Chinese medicine with French beauty.
Zhejiang Hilton Taizhou Hotel Opening Opened
The 21-storey, 336-room hotel marked its debut as the first international
hotel brand in the heart of Taizhou’s CBD in Jiangsu province. The hotel
offers over 2,500m2 of meeting space, including a 1,030m2 Grand Ballroom
that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. The hotel also has a rooftop
garden and an outdoor lawn for gatherings, weddings and events. For F&B,
guests can choose from all-day restaurant Huan; Arch Chinese Restaurant
for local Zhejiang flavours and seafood; and the He Lobby Lounge. Facilities
include a 24-hour fitness centre, indoor swimming pool and whirlpool.

Medan Radisson Medan Hotel Opening Opened
Radisson Medan stands on Jalan H Adam Malik in downtown Medan,
surrounded by corporate offices and retail malls. It features 215 rooms and
suites, all equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, LCD TVs with cable
channels, and working areas with international power sockets. A majority
of rooms feature views of Medan’s rising skyline.
The property also offers 1,500m2 of meeting space over two floors, where
event spaces include a ballroom, nine meeting rooms and a pre-function
area. Other facilities include a business centre, gym, outdoor pool, lobby
lounge and all-day dining restaurant on the seventh floor.
Belitung Apurva Kempinski Hotel Opening Opened

Swiss-Belhotel International has announced the opening of a hotel on
Indonesia’s Belitung Island. Just 150m from the white sands of Tanjung
Binga Beach, Swiss-Belresort Tanjung Binga is a four-star resort featuring
77 rooms, including five suites and seven inter-connecting rooms. Guests
may also enjoy the Beach Club, water sports and other activities, in
addition to facilities such as a 80m2 pool, kids’ pool, spa, 24-hour fitness
centre and a jogging track.
Indonesia Bawah Reserve Hotel Opening Opened
A sensational new private-island retreat, Bawah Reserve is putting the
archipelago on the map as Indonesia's hottest hotel opening of the year.
Bawah Reserve’s teak overwater bungalows venture across a trio of
remote, protected lagoons. Bawah Reserve is a three-hour flight from

Okinawa Iraph Sui Hotel Opening Opened
Iraph Sui has opened on Irabu Island, Okinawa, becoming the third hotel in
Japan to join Marriott’s Luxury Collection. The seafront property offers 58
rooms ranging from 46m2 to 120m2, with several suites also featuring
private swimming pools. Aside from international restaurant Tin’In, the
property also has a spa and infinity pool. Guests can also arrange for
excursions to nearby beaches or go scuba diving in the Okinawan Ocean.
Nagano Shishi-Iwa House Hotel Opening Opened
Shishi-Iwa House, a 10-room boutique resort designed by Pritzker Prize-
winning Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, has opened its doors in
Karuizawa, a mountain resort destination in Japan’s Nagano Prefecture,
accessible by train about an hour from Tokyo. Developed by HDHP GK, a
social enterprise sponsored by HDH Capital Management, Shishi-Iwa House
is positioned as a restorative retreat where architecture serves to provide
peace and inspire intellectual creativity.

Singapore Raffles Singapore Hotel Renovation Since December
2019
Raffles Singapore, closed for restoration since December 2017, announced it
has begun accepting reservations for stays starting August 1, 2019.
Travelers can book stays in State Room Suites, Courtyard Suites, Palm
Court Suites, Personality Suites and Residence Suites. All other suites are
still being curated and are not yet available for reservation. When it reopens
mid-2019, the historic Raffles Singapore will unveil several changes. The
property will introduce a new spa and refreshed recreational area.
