My dear Friends ,
Our Academy has been a wonderful family with more than 31,900 members. As the 1st
HSG of Central IAP elected from the Pan India Constituency, I could reach and connect
to all 340 plus IAP branches and members in every nook and corner of the country and
I hope I have lived up to your expectations.
I am seeking your continued blessings, support and guidance for an extended opportunity
to serve you as President Elect 2021 and I pledge to keep working for the IAP as well
as the welfare of children of our country.
My VISION for IAP
1. IMR 25 by 2025 : 3 Pillars - Strengthen the Pan India NRP & SNCU | Revamp the BFHI | Reinforce the Immunisation
practices
2. Member Support : Setting up a robust system at Central Office to support members affected by unanticipated
calamities or epidemics.
3. DIGICARD : Providing all Members free access to IAP Digital platforms and website through a single chip card.
4. Advocacy : IAP is taken into consideration at all decision making platforms of child health mooted by the
Governments.
5. IAP to have a greater role in the Pediatric Teaching including curriculum making.
6. College of Pediatrics to be made fully operational.
7. Pediatric Superspeciality Consultation for poor at peripheral settings by Virtual Reality platform.

I am a proud IAPian with my association with CIAP since 3 decades. I have served
various subspecialty Chapters of IAP like Inf.Diseases, Neonatology, Neurology, Ado-
lescent-Academy and FBS of IAP. I have worked in close quarters with CIAP office and
seen working of Past Presidents very closely. This experience will help me in taking IAP
to even greater heights, if given a chance to be President of CIAP.

My biodata is fundamentally and essentially similar to any other pediatrician’s biodata,
in briefor in detail I’m similar to you in the career, the positions, the awards or the
achievements. Call it a weakness or passion that started in 1990 when I attended Na-
tional PEDICON inHyderabad, that was inspirational and an excellent kick (DRUG) which
helped me dream big forIAP. In 1992 I became a member that was a magical potion
(medicine) that gave me a voice, amind, a story and a vision.
My passion to work for IAP made me an IAP ADDICT, thereby dedicating my curriculum
andextra curriculum to the organisation. I’m indebted to IAP which gave me hordes of friends across the country,
whose wishes,blessings and concerns ingrained in me the futuristic thoughts for the IAP.
I have profound happiness of having had guidance and wishes from my seniors and teachersall throughout my journey,
I’m also indebted to the young generation of IAPians who’sinnovative and exuberant helped me continue my spark.
As a teacher and as a practitioner I wasn’t prepared to be static and pushed myself to the bestof my abilities, thus
optimising my learning potential, creating new angles in the process.
I held various positions and responsibilities in IAP and NNF as Branch president State vice president,Conducted national
conferences. I was the chief organising secretary for the most acclaimed international conference APPAPEDICON 2016.
Every position and chair that I held I worked hard as an individual and with the team, to raisethe decorum, sanctity
and thoughtfulness of the chair and the position. The lessons that I learnt from the pursuit of excellence mean much
more for me than theawards and rewards. Piece of my heart always beats for IAP where I contributed for 28 long
years. every rung of theladder I climbed with ardor and diligence and now I stand worthy of recognition and stature

My love story with IAP started in 2005 and in the next 15 years I learned to breathe
IAP ,live IAP and talk IAP .
From academics to organisation I was fortunate to work under 5 President Dr Yewale,Dr
Santosh Soans ,DrDigant Shastri ,Dr Bakul Jayant Parekh and Dr Piyush Gupta (President
elect) For the last 4 years I was working to feed street children and treat them .Dr Digant
Shastri helped us officiallystart partnership of IAP and FEED .Dr Bakul Parekh started the
concept of Footpath dispensary on the streets ofKolkata .We started the footpath dispensary in Mumbai and Delhi ..
I am really thankful to my Presidents and my HSG Dr Basavraja for inspiring me to work for the children.Today IAP is
the only Doctor’s organisation to have a charitable wing-IAP CHARIOT.
IAP today has changed my width of vision from a branch to state to region to PAN INDIA ..My friends in IAPtoday
encompass the whole of India and they are an indispensable part of my life .It is my intention to serve IAP andthe
children of India and it is upto my friends of IAP to decide whether to give me greater responsibility .

Personal Statement: Why I am standing?
I am in a stage of self -actualisation where giving back to society becomes mainstay of satisfaction in life. As Jt sec-
retary Liason could play an important role by contributing to various meetings as listed above. If given an opportunity
to become VP of the NZ, I will be able to further contribute to the welfare of the children of our country through our
vibrant body of IAP
What I will offer to the role/ Vision for the role
My focus will be on ensuring that IAP’s programs and opportunities these programs create will efficiently reach and
benefit the IAP’s membership. Continue motivating participation of young members and those at periphery to get
equal opportunities to participate in IAP Academic programs.

I am a Grassroot person ,humble worker of IAP and working for CIAP for last 12 years
and for IAP since last 30 years relentlessly.
Served as EXECUTIVE BOARD member in 2012, 2013 & 2016 of CIAP.
Organising NAGPUR 2018 NATIONAL CONFERENCE of IAP was the biggest faith shown in me as CHIEF ORGANISING
SECRETARY of PEDICON and was praised and applauded by all respected members of IAP.
I served at various positions in CIAP in various committees and as National trainer in many workshop modules. I am

suffice thequalification for being voter.
2. Now every important post is Pan India, hence besides one EB at Mumbai and another at Conference venue,
