Confession of Faith
Heidelberg Catechism Q. 32

Q. Why are you called a Christian?

A. Because I am a member of Christ by faith and thus share in His anointing, so that I may
as prophet confess His Name, as priest present myself a living sacrifice of thankfulness to
Him, and as king fight with a free and good conscience against sin and the devil in this life,
and hereafter reign with Him eternally over all creatures.

Song of Adoration
This Is My Father’s World

This is my Father’s world, This is my Father’s world:
And to my listening ears O let me ne’er forget
All nature sings, and round me rings That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
The music of the spheres. God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world: This is my Father’s world:
I rest me in the thought                      The battle is not done;
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas – Jesus who died shall be satisfied,
His hand the wonders wrought. And earth and heav’n be one.

Song of Thanksgiving
O Come to the Altar

Are you hurting and broken within (bridge)
Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin Oh what a Savior
Jesus is calling Isn’t he wonderful
Have you come to the end of yourself Sing alleluia Christ is risen
Do you thirst for a drink from the well Bow down before him
Jesus is calling For he is Lord of all
                                                Sing alleluia

Before the Throne of God Above

Before the throne of God above, Behold him there! the risen Lamb!
I have a strong, a perfect plea, My perfect, spotless righteousness,
a great High Priest whose name is “Love,” the great unchangeable I AM,
who ever lives and pleads for me. the King of glory and of grace!
My name is graven on His hands, One with Himself I cannot die:
my name is written on His heart;                 my soul is purchased by His blood;
I know that while in heav’n He stands my life is hid with Christ on high,
no tongue can bid me thence depart. with Christ, my Saviour and my God.
No tongue can bid me thence depart. With Christ, my Saviour and my God.

                                                 Words: Charitie Lees Bancroft (1863)

and tells me of the guilt within,
upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin.
Because the sinless Saviour died,
my sinful soul is counted free;
for God, the Just, is satisfied
to look on him and pardon me.
To look on him and pardon me.
