First FWB Church Partners with Pregnancy Center

First Free Will Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge has partnered
with Options on Main Pregnancy Center in Jonesboro and
Paragould. This center reaches out to women who are with
child who are considering abortion. Many times, these mothers
feel like they have nowhere or no one to whom they can turn.
Gaye Hibbard Rickey brought the center's needs to the church's
leadership, and the church began partnering with the center to
 make a difference.
First, they began by partnering financially. Not only does
the church give a monthly budget amount to Options on Main,
but they have placed large "bottle banks" in the church where
people can give monthly donations. In less than a month, over
$200.00 has been donated to the center. This money not only
goes toward operations but also to provide ultrasounds to
pregnant mothers. Statistics show that a mother considering an
abortion is over 80% more likely to choose life for their baby
when they view an ultrasound of the child.
On Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (January 17), the church held a baby shower for the center.
When mothers choose life, many times, they need baby supplies. First Free Will Baptist Church
donated various baby items for these mothers to help them with their precious babies.
Perhaps one of the most important tools that Options on Main Pregnancy Center provides to
partners is texting. A text-to-join program links members of the church with the center, and when a
client comes for help, at that moment, a text is sent out to pray. Many of the church's members are
in prayer daily, making a difference in real-life situations where literally life and death decisions are
 being made.
In addition to just the issue at hand, Options on
Main Street provides spiritual counseling to their
clients. Not only have many lives been saved, but
several clients have accepted Christ as their Savior.
First Free Will Baptist Church has awakened to
the truth that the abortion issue is more than just
saying we are against something. There is before us
an opportunity to offer tangible and spiritual help.
For too long, we have just talked about abortion.
God in His goodness has allowed our church to do
something that will make a difference. Every life is
                                                 sacred.

goal is to finish the building, fund it and fill it with people!

Please pray for us as we strive to accomplish the mission God had laid out before us! We are on target to
complete construction by mid-June and are very excited to begin worship services in the new sanctuary
that will seat over 800 people. Feel free to stop by and we will give you a tour of the building!
