ROYAL GAELS LGFA INTERMEDIATE FINALISTS 2020 Name: Laura Bourke Age: 28 Position: Forward turned Goalkeeper High point in your playing career to date: I was honoured with being named captain this year and reaching the Intermediate county final has been a high point. A game to forget: Loss to Ashbourne in the Intermediate final in 2019 Toughest Opponent in the final: Lisa Young, she has displayed some great football this sea- son from watching back on the match streams. I also think Orlaith Duff deserves a mention, but unfortunately injury has prevented her from playing in the final, wishing her a speedy recovery. Player on your team to watch on for during the final: We’re so lucky to have so many talent- ed girls on the team but sometimes you just can’t beat experience, so I’m going to say Niamh O’Sullivan, always has a memorable performance. A club you would like to see do well other than your own: Castleknock, the Ladies Team in particular, narrow defeat in their recent intermediate championship final, no doubt they will be up at Senior next year in Dublin.
DEE RANGERS LGFA INTERMEDIATE FINALISTS 2020 Name: Briona Rowe Age: 28 Position: Midfield High point in your playing career to date: Winning the Leinster Junior Cham- pionship in 2014 A game to forget: All Ireland Junior Club Semi-Final in 2014 Toughest Opponent in the final: Ask me after the game! Player on your team to watch on for during the final: I can’t be giving away that sort of information! Three words to describe yourself: Dedicated, Competitive and Loyal A club you would like to see do well other than your own: Syddan GFC Advice for young players: Stick with it, win or lose, your time will come.
