RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Kornati Sail is subject to the race rules and regulations of World Sailing and the rules of the
ORC (latest issue). Concerning safety, Croatian regulations apply.
The notation [DP] within a rule of the open call or within the sailing instructions means, that the
penalty for breaching this rule given by the protest committee can be lesser than disqualification.
The notation [NP] within a rule of the open call or within the sailing instructions means, that a par-
ticipant can not protest for breaching this rule.
Anti doping regulations of the World Sailing and Austrian Anti doping national act 2007 apply.
Persons suspended or barred due to doping will not be permitted to participate.
The two-turn penalty according to WRS 44.1 and 44.2 will be applicable. For catamarans regu-
lation WRS 44.1 is amended, so as only to have to do one penalty turn.
For the one design classes the regulations of the OeSV apply.
Changes and misprints reserved! Page 2NOTICE OF RACE ADMISSION Open for all slup rigged monohulls from 30 feet and catamarans. Yachts under 30 feet are just permitted, if they have a GPH smaller than 670 (without Spi smaller than 720). All Yachts must have a valid HJS vignette for 2020 and must disclose the number by the 24.09.2020 at Pitter Yachtcharter. All monohulls must have a valid ORC- certificate for 2020 and must have handed this over to Pitter Yachtcharter by the 24.09.2020. Exempt are the one-design classes. For possible costs for amendments in the ORC measuring certificate, participants must compensate (as per current price list OeSV/HJS). [NP] All multihulls must have a valid MOCRA rating for 2020 and must have handed this over to Pitter Yachtcharter by the 24.09.2020. [NP] The maximum weigh for MOCRA-Rating will be calculated as follows: Empty weight from the user manual + 50%of the permitted load according to user manual + generator, heating, air conditioning, solar system (weight according to description, brochure, internet,…) Protest against a MOCRA-certificate because of weight inquiries are permitted only in case the certificate weight is higher than this calculated weight. All boats of the class without spinnaker may use during the entire race only a storm jib and a headsail (Genoa). The booming out of the Genoa with the spinnaker boom included in the ORC certificate is permitted. Catamarans are to be sailed with spinnaker or gennaker. The removal of furnishings, doors and equipment is prohibited. Yachts that use trapezes or outrig- gers, to shift the weight of sailors, are not permitted. All skippers must comply with the lawful regulations for skippering yachts in Croatia. Skippers and co skippers must be registered members for the year 2020, within a national union or a national association. NOTICE OF RACE REGISTRATION Registration and Inspections of the Yachts: Issue of numbers, race documents, deposit for numbers € 50,00 in cash Saturday, 24.10.2020 Sunday, 25.10.2020 Place and time will be announced at a later period in the programm. RACE COURSE Courses without distance and time limits around buoys and landmarks. A course short-cut is pos- sible. FIRST BRIEFING Monday, 26.10.2020, 8:30 am START OF THE FIRST RACE COURSE Monday, 26.10.2020, 10:30 am (planned) EVALUATION There are 6 races intended with one deletion. If less than 4 races are sailed there will be no de- letion. Assessment of the one-design classes without compensation. Assessment of the monohulls according to ORC – Club Performance Curve (windward/leeward respectively Coastal/Long Distance). Assessment of the multihulls according to MOCRA. NOTICE OF RACE GROUPS One-design class Bavaria Cruiser 41S with spinnaker (with EPEX-Fock) One-design class Bavaria Cruiser 41 with gennaker One-design class Bavaria Cruiser 46 with gennaker Group ORC with spinnaker Group ORC without spinnaker Multihulls with Spinnaker (MOCRA) Groups with less than 5 boats can be merged with other groups. The group must be specified at registration and can be changed up to the 24.09.2020. Group changes after the 24.09.2020 need clearance from the organisers. For group changes after the 17.10.2020 a fee of EUR 50,- will have to be paid. The one-design boats will be assigned after the registration. MARKETING Advertising space on sails, hulls and railings are subject to Pitter Yachtcharter approval. According to the Croatian sailing union charter, a fee can be applicable to participants. Every other PR event or marketing tool during the race event is subject to Pitter Yachtcharter appro- val. On participating yachts the following surfaces are assigned to the organiser’s advertising: 20% of the bow hull, flags for the standing backstay and parts of the main boom. AUSTRIAN OFFSHORE TROPHY
The Kornati Sail is part of the regatta series of the Austrian Offshore Trophy.
EVENT PACKAGE
EUR 95,- / person
Includes: the entire organisation and handling, like grouping, Austrian race comity, protest comity,
daily results, placing of buoys, mooring fees on Sunday (25.10.) and Thursday (29.10.) in Murter
and Monday (26.10.) in Biograd, entry fees to the Kornati National park, administrative registra-
tion at authorities and port captain, Kornati Sail souvenir, registration of participants,
It also includes the entry fee of HRK 100,- for the Croatian organiser Yacht Club Kornati.
Changes and misprints reserved! Page 6NOTICE OF RACE METHOD OF PAYMENT A deposit of EUR 285,- is to be paid within 14 days of the registration. Boats, whose deposit is not paid within 30 days of the registration, will be erased from the registration list, so as to allow other participants to register. The rest is due by the 08.09.2020. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation of the participation before the 08.09.2020 the deposit expires. Cancellations due to travel restrictions by COVID-19 are excluded. In this case, the payment which was already made will be credited in form of a credit note. In the event that the spread of the Corona Virus, or regulations of the authorities in Austria, Slovenia or Croatia foreseeably impair or prevent the arrival or implementation of the regatta, the Kornati Sail can be canceled. In the event that the number of registrations remains or drop below 35 teams by 8th September 2020, the regatta can be canceled. If the regatta is canceled, the participation fees paid will be reimbursed. Any cancellation fees of charter yachts are in no way to be charged to the organizers. PRIVACY POLICY The processing of personal data (e.g. name, address, e-mail address or telophone number) is carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Data Protecion Regulation (DSVGO) and the applicable Data Protection Act (DSG). Privacy Policy LIABILITY Participants sail at their own risk (WRS4). The organisers are not liable for any losses, damages or injuries to people, yachts or other. NOTICE OF RACE REGISTRATION REGULATIONS There is a minimum number of 35 yachts (including multihulls). Follow this link to get up to date information on the registration status www.pitter-regatta.at/korna- ti-sail Registration order occurs via registration/payment receipt. Monohulls exceeding 57 feet and catamarans exceeding 46 feet are subject to individual consent by Pitter Yachtcharter. For those yachts there will be an adjustment of the costs of the participation, depending on the size of the yacht. Registration must occur via the online registration system.
