“What I love the most about LCC is the staff. This my
second year here and every professor I’ve had has
been wonderful! They care about their students
and their success throughout the quarter. I always
feel welcomed in a classroom because the teacher
ensures a safe space for everyone. I am thankful
for all their hard work and kindness.”

Prepare for a career in healthcare: Medical Assisting
The healthcare industry is expected to generate more jobs than any
other career field over the next decade. As a Medical Assistant, you
will work with patients in a clinical setting doing things like taking
vital signs and preparing and performing EKGs. Medical Assistants
also perform administrative duties like scheduling appointments
 and managing medical records.
 LCC offers a one-year certificate and a two-year degree
in Medical Assisting. Although you can start the program
anytime by taking prerequisites and supportive classes,
students apply for the clinical portion of the program in
winter quarter (to start in the fall).
