Introduction

Astrology is a profound language of fate and destiny with infinite combinations of
symbols, numbers, aspects and interpretations.
In this report I will share with you, how I prepare myself astrologically for the New Year. I
will provide you with some information in regards to central themes of the year and the
most important dates to consider for determining ideal times for business ventures,
relationships, moves, major purchases and travel.

First I look at the planet's positions and transits, their movements:

- the signs the planets are currently in
- their moves into new signs
- their retrograde phases.

This as well as the angle or the relationship between moving planets, for example if two
planets meet and travel together or if they move in opposition influences everyone
collectively. By learning about the unique positions and transits in a year, we increase our
awareness for the topics, issues and possible experiences ahead of us

When you overlay the planets' current movements through the twelve signs of the zodiac
on a specific date onto your natal chart, the chart you were born with, you will see their
position in any of your twelve houses - areas of your life - and how they create aspects with
the position of the planets in your natal chart, at your time of birth.
This is called looking at your personal transits. With the help of an Astrological
program and/or an Astrologer you can find out in which of your houses especially the
slower moving planets Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto spend their time.
These visits reflect themes, changes, challenges and blessings in specific areas of you life.
Knowing when the planets change signs and leave and enter a different house or oppose,
trine, conjunct other planets helps me to be aware of the undercurrents of my life's stream.

Second I mark the 12-13 New Moons, Full Moons, and Balsamic Moon Phases
of the Lunar Cycle in my calendar.

2019 starts with:

Sun 10° Capricorn
Mercury 23° Sagittarius
Venus 23° Scorpio
Mars 29° Pisces
Jupiter 11° Sagittarius
Saturn 11° Capricorn
Uranus 28° Aries
Neptun 14° Pisces
Pluto 20° Capricorn
Chiron 28° Pisces
Lilith 16° Aquarius
North Node 26° Cancer

The position of the moon and the rising sign are different for each time zone, which is why I
don't list them. The last three in the list: the comet Chiron, the black moon Lilith and the
mathematical point of the North Node are less commonly known but very fascinating
aspects in a chart. If you want to know more about them, you can read about them online
or email me. So let's look at the planets' positions, transits and retrogrades in 2019 and
what it could mean.

In Chinese Astrology, the Year of the Earth Pig starts on February 5th, 2019. The colors are
pink, orange and yellow. To emphasize the element earth on the cover of this report, I
chose the square shaped frame. The wings represent the only air energy we have in the
chart for 2019, Lilith, the black moon aspect in our charts resides in Aquarius.

Mercury

Mercury moves quickly throughout all signs within a year. It starts out in Sagittarius and will
go retrograde three times:

March 5 - March 28 in Pisces
July 7 in Leo, July 19 in Cancer - July 31 in Cancer
October 31 - November 20 in Scorpio

The phenomenon of Mercury Retrograde has entered mainstream consciousness. Most of
us know our astrological sun sign but even before realizing our ascendant or moon sign, we
have heard of those seemingly too often reoccurring phases called Mercury Retrograde,
during which computers crash, planes are delayed, keys misplaced, cars break down and
even worse communication fails and misunderstandings abound.

Don't be scared there are Mercury Retrograde’s potential & blessings in disguise.
Years of experiencing and observing Mercury Retrograde periods, granted me two insights.

First, depending on the degree and sign in which Mercury Retrograde occurs in connection
with an individual’s chart, not every single day of the average three-week episode and not
even every Mercury Retrograde has to be challenging. On the contrary: old friendships can
be reignited again, clients remember to come back to your business, new ones try you out,
because they have been rejected in some form by their usual go to address. And is it really
bad to finally reorganize your office or storage area because you had some unexpected
time due to rescheduling.

Second, there is a secret to use this time to its fullest potential. The secret lies in action
verbs beginning with the letters RE. Here is your Magical Mercury Retrograde Reminder
Word Cloud.

Prepare for this special time with a Plan B attitude. Avoid signing contracts because when
we start something during a Mercury Retrograde, we can expect a backwards motion, and
later, as early as Mercury is moving direct again, we find that something was not quite right.

Moving can also be harder on a Mercury Retrograde because it might take longer to let go
of the old place and settle into the new one.

Traveling might take longer because this is a phase when the forces draw within and
backwards resulting in a slowing down of all movements. This can be different, if you
complete something during a trip or visit an old friend. Mercury, the first planet from the
sun moves speedily, just like the Roman God Mercury, the messenger, carrying a magic
wand and being full of mischief. This also means that Mercury Retrogrades will pass quickly.

Mercury Retrograde Hair Advice

Wait with getting a new hairstyle unless 'new' means going back to a hairstyle from the past
or you already thought it through for a long time.

Rethink and reschedule

Communicate super clearly what you would like for your haircut. Be specific, with ruler,
photos and eye contact, when you tell your hairdresser your wishes.

Request and repeat

Check your haircut before you leave. Even if the hairdresser has cut your hair for years, take
a mirror and look at the finished result. Find the little trap hairs behind the ears or under
very thick hair in the back. Then comb, brush or use your fingers to bring your energy back
into your hair and check how the hair falls into place the way you want it.

Relax, Retreat and Rejuvenate

Slow down. Avoid hectic movements and rushing. The best hair practice here is daily
brushing! If you cut your own hair, schedule enough time and eliminate all distractions and
possible interruptions. Treat yourself as your own client.

This is the time to take a bath and detoxify your scalp. Massage your scalp and nurture your
body with fine oils.

I list the retrograde motion of all planets not just Mercury as they concern all of us
collectively and individually reflect issues in different areas of our lives. The day before
a planet changes direction is often an 'off’ day, especially before it is going direct
again. This is a time to step back a bit and relax.

If you want to learn more about what each transit of the following planets means,
search the internet for 'Venus transiting Capricorn' or 'Saturn transiting Capricorn.'

                                            Venus

This year Venus travels through all signs once and towards the end one more time
through Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn.
Neither Venus nor Mars are going retrograde this year.

Find out when Venus transits through your sun sign. This is usually a great time for
friendship, romance and anything related to beauty. The sun sign is your zodiac sign.
So if your birthday is on September 10th, your sun sign is Virgo.

Mars

Mars travels this year through Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio.
Pay attention to whether you can feel or experience an energy change when Mars enters a
new sign. Especially when it enters your sun sign or ascendant, you should notice an energy
boost.

2-14 Mars in Taurus
3-31 Mars in Gemini
5-15 Mars in Cancer
7-1 Mars in Leo
8-18 Mars in Virgo
10-4 Mars in der Libra
11-19 Mars in Scorpio

                                               Jupiter

Jupiter is in Sagittarius most of the year and enters Capricorn on December 2nd. Jupiter is
an expansive, generous planet that can fully express its essence in its own sign.

Jupiter Retrograde
April 10 to August 11 in Sagittarius
                                               Saturn

Saturn entered the sign of Capricorn on December 19th, 2017 starting a 2-3 yearlong
transit.
Ideally, in Sagittarius Saturn demanded from us to acquire wisdom and knowledge, which
we can now in its own sign of Capricorn, use for a strong, safe and solid foundation, be it a
business venture, a relationship, our retirement or building an actual house.
Key concepts are: putting ideas and visions into practice, establishing realistic conditions
and new rules, developing and signing conscious and mature contracts.
Saturn in Capricorn invites us to be minimalistic and yet elegant. Who wants to carry too
much stuff up the mountain? Also, the tiny house movement, DIY, recycling, using up what
we have comes to mind.
This is a time when we must take care of legal matters and of the fundamental details
necessary for success. Taking responsibility, being trustworthy, paying respect and treating
others respectfully are Saturn's top priorities. When we feel restricted or void of pleasures,
sincere questions can act as keys to turn our experiences around. For example: if we desire
a specific item but can't or decide not to buy it because either we are in debt or we rather
want to save the money, then this process might give us an idea how to rebuild something
in our home, which we already own. Or we find true beauty and satisfaction in a simple

meal of beans and rice. Check if you not already have what you want. Think about if what
you want actually be an enrichment or could it turn out to be a burden?
How long will this item actually feel new, fresh and great and how long will it last?
What will it be worth in a year or more?

Saturn Retrograde
April 30th - September 18th in Capricorn.

This is a great window of time to rethink our first steps in creating stable structures for our
projects and within our work environment.

                                            Uranus

Uranus is retrograde in the beginning of the year in Aries and turns direct on January 6th.
On May 6, Uranus once again enters Taurus and continues the 7-8 year cycle.
Uranus is the planet of rebellion, revolution and individuality. Uranus in Aries is all about
personal freedom. Uranus in Taurus is revolutionizing everything that Taurus stands for:
money, values, material possession, beauty, the earth and food. Uranus also stands for
radical change, for example in regards to banking and new currencies as well as surprising
technical innovations.

Uranus Retrograde
From August 12th into 2020, Uranus retrogrades in the sign of Taurus and continues to
retrograde in the sign of Aries until it goes direct in Aries on January 6th, 2020.
During this time I recommend sticking with tested concepts and methods. Reconsider
previous manifestations of separation, individuality, and intention that may have failed.
Uranus helps with looking at life in a detached way. Uranus retrograde is not ideal for first-
time breaks from personal, family, or business partnerships.

                                          Neptune

All year long, Neptune moves trough the sign of Pisces.

Neptune Retrograde
June 21st to November 27th, in the sign of Pisces.

Time to renew spiritually, avoid judgment and criticism, and accepting experience
unfettered by limited moral labels. Neptune retrograde periods are a good time to hone
and refine your creative powers by turning your attention to any neglected artistic
expressions and talents. Those with Neptune retrograde are often successful at educating
others in arts, music, and mathematics.

Pluto

Pluto is the whole year in the sign of Capricorn. It is the slowest moving planet and mirrors
major global movements and events. It takes Pluto up to 20 years in a sign or in one of your
houses. If a person reaches the age of 100 years Pluto has moved through four to five signs
and your personal houses creating individual transformational experiences.

Pluto Retrograde
April 24th to October 3rd, in the sign of Capricorn.

                                           Chiron

Chiron has been transiting the sign of Pisces for eight years. On February 19th it enters the
sign of Aries. Chiron is the wounded healer and therefore points at our biggest pain. In the
sign of Pisces we look gently at our and other people's wounds with empathy, compassion,
and a desire to help. We still like to hide them or cover them. With Aries we become more
impatient and burn with the desire to quickly address our wounds. We will look them
straight into the eye and speak about them.

Chiron Retrograde
Juli 8th to December 12th

                                            Lilith

Lilith, the Dark Moon has been in Aquarius since the beginning of 2019 and will move into
Pisces at the end of the year.

                                       Mondknoten

The North Node resides in the sign of Cancer for the whole year.

Balsamic, New and Full Moon and Moon Void of Course

The balsamic phase of the moon, which is about a day or a day and a half before
the new moon is not an ideal time to start new projects or go on a first date. The
energies are winding down and there is an inward motion. Ideally this is a day where
you take it easy, stay home not doing too much or when at work just being quieter if
possible.
The New Moon is a great time for new beginnings and each new moon has a special
focus. The most important one is the new moon in Aries, the beginning of the
astrological lunar year and a great time to write down and envision your goals for the
next year.
Full Moon time is always busy and intense as the earth is in between the tension
field of the moon and the sun. This is a great time to celebrate and simultaneously be
careful of too much energy out there and within: people driving too fast, eating too
much, all in all being too stimulated by the lunar light.
The Void of Course Moon happens every time the moon switches into a new sign.
Sometimes this ‘wobbly’ period lasts a minute sometimes half a day. That is not an
ideal time to sign a contract. You can search the void of moon periods online. I only
do that for contract signing and very important meetings.
