Bringing Learning to Life:
This booklet is a snapshot of the super fun and learning
experiences we had in Newbridge House and Farm during the
year. It shows visual evidence of how strong partnerships with
parents and linking the community has better outcomes for
children's learning, well-being and sense of Identity & Belonging
(Aistear Siolta Practice Guide, NCCA 2015).

We'll be back!
A big thank you from the children, parents & staff of Little
Millers Preschool, Donabate to Ann Brophy, Assistant Manager
at Newbridge House & Farm for inviting us to participate in
wonderful learning adventures at the newly launched
Educational Centre (Siolta, CECDE 2006).

Newbridge House - 28 March
... fun on the farm!

               The Gang

The gang went to the farm to see the
wonkey donkey hee-haw!

Along the way we saw some hay.

We met Orlaith the foal who wants to
be a unicorn.

Rua the robin is very shy. I don’t know
why!

The bunnies hop and jump. Donkey,
the cow goes mooo!

The chickens look like slippers.

The sheep looks like a mop and the
bunny ears flop;

Then we go into Newbridge farm shop
and buy a juicy lollipop!

Newbridge House - 10 April
 ... fun with Ryan!

                T Rex

We love Newbridge Farm, it has so
many nice animals. We love Farmer Jo
because he is so nice. We saw a cute
calf who made us laugh. We saw a
blue sheep who was falling asleep. We
saw Fernando, a pig who was doing a
dig. A few names thrown around
were Stinky Bigo! ‘Mr Popcorn’,
‘Fernando the Bull’ ‘Mr Cool’ &
‘Tinkerbell’.

We saw many animals who were cute
on the ground. The children and
adults all had a great day and now
we’re all going for a roll in the hay.

 ... fun with poems!

           The Little Pig Poets

On National Poetry Day we had a great
time.

We learnt about animals and how to
rhyme

Chaser the pig eats hay and rolls around
the mud all day

Kevin the kid loves to jump and play. We
chased him in the sunshine all day

Percy the peacock is so proud. His tail
feathers are so loud

Rua the robin is very shy. We’re not sure
why!

Tammy the pig lives in a sty because he
poops and he’s a big guy.

Orlaith the foal has being a seahorse, as
her goal

Lily the calf loves to laugh especially,
after her bath.

Today was such great fun.

At Little Millers, we like to play and learn

                             Rainbow Gang

Ginger George ducks and pecks around his little pen.

When he’s feeling lonely, he talks to mama hen

Kevin the kid is Darragh’s favourite goat. He loves to rub his soft
shiny coat.

Ice-cream, the turkey bit Felix’ finger so around his enclosure he did
not linger.

Orlaith the foal is loved by all and Percy the peacock has a great call.

Adam and Stephen adore the fluffy chicks

And everyone loves to feel Lily’s licks.

Newbridge farm is full of fun with things to do for everyone.
