Ministries and Activities

                                                           St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Food and Clothing Pantry is
                                                           open Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00-3:30 pm.

             PERPETUAL ADORATION                           New members are welcome. Please call our office at
                                                           209-823-8099 and leave a message.
   The Adoration Chapel remains closed at this time.
                                                           VOLUNTEERS: We are in great need of help for:
   Adoration & Private Prayer will take place inside the
                  church as scheduled:                     1. Daily Bread Pick-up at Raleys and SaveMart any time
                                                              between 10:00 and Noon. It takes about an hour of time.
         Monday - Friday 6:00am to 9:00am                     Volunteers are assigned a day or as a sub to fill in when
   Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 9:30 am - 12:00 pm             needed. Please call Ron Kackley @ 209-470-2851 if you

                                                               If someone would like to request a shawl (for ladies)
                                                                   or lap robe (for men), please send an e-mail to
                                                                            prayer.shawls@yahoo.com.
                                                           Shawls and lap robes are not just for those who are ill; they
                                                           are also given out to celebrate a special occasion such as an
                                                           anniversary. A message of love and caring comes with each
                                                            shawl or lap robe and the giving of the shawl or lap robe
                                                                    enriches the giver as well as the recipient.

INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK

Did you ever find yourself wishing that God would just
step in and fix all that is wrong with the world? After all,
how much longer can all of this go on? There is so much
inequity in life. Our world’s political, economic, and en-
vironmental systems do not always serve the best inter-
ests of people. We read stories about injustice,
disregard for human life, greed, heartache, and people

Tomar decisiones siempre es difícil; por muy simples que
sean, lleva su tiempo de discernimiento. Hoy, la Liturgia se
centra en María, y el Evangelio nos dice que: “Por entonces
María tomó su decisión y se fue, sin más demora, a una
ciudad ubicada en los cerros de Judá” (Lucas 1:39). Hacer
la voluntad de Dios, como lo hizo la Madre del Señor, no
fue cosa fácil. Al pronunciar su “sí”, trajo consecuencias de
fidelidad y servicio. “¿Cuáles eran sus pensamientos duran-
te los meses de espera?” La respuesta proviene del pasaje
de la visita de María a su pariente anciana, Isabel. “Entró en
casa de Zacarías y saludó a Isabel”. María estaba feliz por
su maternidad, y a su vez, Isabel saludó a María diciendo:
