Thank you for your purchase. We hope that you are satisfied with
your new Andrew James product.
To fully and safely enjoy the benefits of your new product, please read the
manual fully before use and keep safe for future reference.
1Safety instructions
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following;
• This appliance is intended for indoor, household use. Unintended
use or operation may result in personal injury, damage to property
or damage to the appliance that will void the warranty.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision and/or instruction concerning safe use of the appliance
and the understanding of hazards. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 years old and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8
years old.
• Never handle or operate any appliance with wet or moist hands.
• Do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids.
Take care whilst cleaning.
• If the appliance has fallen in water do not reach for it, immediately
switch the appliance off at the mains and unplug it.
• Ensure that the cord is not in a position where it can be pulled or
tripped over accidentally. Never use the cord to carry or pull the
appliance. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not use the appliance if it has malfunctioned, been dropped or
damaged in anyway. If the unit has been damaged take the unit for
examination and/or repair by an authorised service agent.
• Do not attempt to open the appliance, repair or modify the
appliance, use the appliance for unintended applications or use
accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electrical
shock, or risk of injury to persons.
2• Do not place the appliance near a naked flame, hot gas or electric
burners, or any appliances generating heat.
• Always remove the plug safely from the socket after use. Do not
pull from the cord.
• Ensure that all packaging is removed before use.
Appliance specific safety instructions
• Always descale the appliance regularly. The harder your water, the
more regularly it will need to be descaled. We recommend
descaling the appliance at least once a month.
• Do not attempt to brew coffee without water in the tank.
• Please note: When the ON button is pressed and illuminated red,
the element will begin to heat. Adding water to a heated element
will cause steam to be created and vented from the outlet.
• Do not overheat the coffee pot or use the coffee pot on the hob of
an oven as it may cause damages.
• The use of accessories not recommended by the supplier may
result in damage to the appliance and injury to the user.
• Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during brewing cycles.
• The hot plate will switch off 40 minutes after the completion of a
coffee making cycle in accordance with European Energy Efficiency
requirements.
Before first use
• Check that all accessories are intact and in correct working order.
• Add 1.5L of water (approximately 12 cups) into the water tank
and brew with only water several times. Discard the water and
clean all detachable parts with warm water and dry thoroughly.

Press once to start
Place the coffee pot onto Plug in at the mains and brewing, the red light will
the hotplate. switch on. now illuminate.
• The machine will brew all the water added in to the tank, only add in the amount
you wish to consume. Min. - 125ml (1 cup), Max. - 1.5L (12 cups).
• The automatic keep warm function will start once the machine has finished
brewing the full contents of the tank, this will remain on for 40 minutes or until
manually cancelled.
• Tip - For best results, allow the coffee to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
• To cancel at any point, press the ON/AUTO/OFF button twice, the light will
illuminate blue for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds the blue light will switch off to
indicate that the machine has stopped and the hot plate will no longer heat.
• Tip - For extra hot coffee, try preheating the mug or adding heated milk.
• Note - The coffee machine will stop brewing automatically if the coffee pot is
removed. Do not remove the coffee pot for more than 30 seconds when the
appliance is brewing.
5Memory
If the power supply is broken or has been unplugged unintentionally during
operation, once reconnected the appliance will begin operating from the point it
was cut off. If the appliance is unplugged for more than 15 seconds, all functions
will need to be restarted, including setting the time and automatic start function.
Automatic start function
If you do not wish coffee to made immediately, please follow the instructions
below to delay the start of the operation.
1. Follow steps 1-5 in “How to use”.
2. To set the current time, press PROG once until “Clock” is displayed, use the
HOUR and MIN buttons to adjust.
3. Once the current time is set, press the PROG button until “Timer” is displayed.
4. Using the HOUR and MIN button, set the delay time in which you wish the
appliance to start brewing.
5. After setting the current and delay time, press the PROG button until “Clock”
and “Timer” disappears.
6. Press the ON/AUTO/OFF button twice, the indicator light will illuminate blue
and begin to flash.
7. When the coffee machine is ready to start brewing, the ON/AUTO/OFF will
stop flashing blue and will turn red. The coffee maker will shut off
automatically after 40 minutes if it is not manually shut off after brewing.
Note: To cancel the delay function press the ON/AUTO/OFF button once. To start
the brewing process immediately press the ON/AUTO/OFF button twice.
6Cleaning and maintenance
• Ensure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged from the mains before
cleaning.
• Always ensure that the machine and coffee pot have fully cooled before
cleaning.
• Wipe the main body of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth and dry
thoroughly.
• Clean all detachable parts after each use in warm, soapy water and dry
thoroughly.
• Do not use any abrasive materials such as scouring pads or harsh chemicals to
clean the appliance as this could cause damages.
• Always ensure any removable parts are clean and dry before reassembling the
appliance.
• The coffee machine and accessories, including the coffee pot, are not
dishwasher safe.
Descaling your appliance
Please note: Product failure due to the build up of limescale is not covered by the
guarantee.
Always descale the appliance regularly. The harder your water, the more regularly it
will need to be descaled. We recommend descaling the appliance at least once a
month.
To remove mineral deposits:
Fill the water tank with 1.5L (12 cups) of water and add in the descaling
solution to.
Place the coffee pot onto the warm plate.
Run a brew cycle as mentioned in “How to use” without placing coffee into the
filter.
After the coffee machine has dispensed approximately 1 cup, press the ON/
AUTO/OFF button twice to cancel the brewing process.
Leave the solution to work in the appliance for at least 15 minutes.
Run another brewing cycle until the water tank is empty and all the descaling
solution has passed through the appliance.
Run clean water through appliance another three times before using again.
7Warranty
As of 1st February 2014, each purchase from the Andrew James UK Ltd website
comes with a fixed warranty for 24 months. We will repair or replace any item
found to be faulty, if it is within its warranty period and following receipt of the
item or items. However, some spare parts such as Halogen Oven Bulbs and Vacuum
Sealer Bags are not covered by the Andrew James 2 year warranty.
Unless specified, all products are intended only for domestic use. Should any
Andrew James UK Ltd product be used on an industrial level or for commercial
gains, the warranty will be deemed void immediately. We cannot be held
responsible for injury or for any damage caused if the appliance has been used for
anything other than its intended purpose.
The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, or damage
resulting from misuse of the product. The warranty will become void should any
attempt by an unauthorised third party be made to repair or modify a product in
any way. We require that you read the product instruction manual thoroughly to
ensure your product is used only for its intended purpose and maintained correctly
during its lifetime.
Please note that the 24 month warranty period is NOT renewed upon delivery of a
replacement item; the warranty term is 24 months from delivery of the original
item.
Electrical information
Always ensure the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the power supply
where the product is being used.
WARNING! This product must be connected to an earthed electrical power supply.
The green/yellow conductor in the supply cord must be connected to the Earth
terminal in the plug. The power supply must have an Earth connection.
Precautions should be followed for safe cable management and connection to the
power supply
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted follow the fitting instructions supplied with
good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician or appliance
repair agent.
• Safely dispose of the old plug.
• Connect the brown lead to the live terminal “L” in the new plug.
• Connect the blue lead to the neutral “N” terminal.
• Connect the green/yellow lead to the earth “E” terminal.
Recommended fuse: 13A
If an extension cable is required, it must have an earth conductor and should be
rated no less than 13A. Do not attempt to modify electrical plugs or sockets or
attempt to make an alternative connection to the electrical supply.
8Disposal of the appliance
Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Waste & Recycling
Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Waste
Non-household waste. This product must not be disposed of together with ordinary
household waste.
Separate collection of used products, batteries and packaging allows the recovery
and recycling of materials. Re-use of materials helps prevent environmental
pollution and reduces the demand for raw materials.
Local authorities, retailers and collection organisations may provide for separate
collection of electrical products, batteries and packaging.

les surfaces chaudes ou les brûleurs chauds ou placer l’appareil
dans un four chaud.
• Il n’est pas recommandé d’utiliser une rallonge ou une multiprise
avec l’appareil. Si nécessaire veuillez utiliser une rallonge qui
correspond à la tension de l’alimentation pour éviter le surchauffe.
Ne jamais brancher tout autre appareil sur la rallonge. Veuillez
positionner la rallonge en assurant qu’il ne peut pas vous

• La machine brassera toute l'eau ajoutée dans le réservoir, ajoutez seulement la
quantité que vous souhaitez consommer. Min. - 125 ml (1 tasse), Max. - 1,5 L (12

• La fonction de maintien au chaud automatique démarre une fois que la machine a fini
de brasser tout le contenu de la cuve, cette fonction reste active pendant 40 minutes
ou jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit annulée manuellement. Conseil - Pour de meilleurs résultats,
laissez reposer le café pendant 5 à 10 minutes avant de le servir.
• Pour annuler à tout moment, appuyez deux fois sur la touche ON/AUTO/OFF, le
voyant s'allume en bleu pendant 15 secondes. Après 15 secondes, le voyant bleu
s'éteint pour indiquer que la machine s'est arrêtée et que la plaque chauffante ne
chauffe plus.
• Conseil - Pour un café très chaud, essayez de préchauffer la tasse ou d'ajouter du lait
chaud.
• Remarque - La machine à café s'arrête automatiquement si la cafetière est retirée. Ne
retirez pas la cafetière pendant plus de 30 secondes lorsque l'appareil est en cours de
préparation.
13Mémoire
Si l'alimentation électrique est coupée ou a été débranchée involontairement
pendant le fonctionnement, une fois rebranché, l'appareil commencera à
fonctionner à partir du point où il a été débranché. Si l'appareil est débranché
pendant plus de 15 secondes, toutes les fonctions doivent être redémarrées, y
compris le réglage de l'heure et la fonction de démarrage automatique.
Fonction de démarrage automatique
Si vous ne souhaitez pas que le café soit préparé immédiatement, veuillez suivre
les instructions ci-dessous pour retarder le début de l'opération.
1. Suivez les étapes 1 à 5 de la section "Mode d'emploi".
2. Pour régler l'heure actuelle, appuyez une fois sur PROG jusqu'à ce que
"Horloge" s'affiche, utilisez les touches HOUR et MIN pour régler.
3. Une fois l'heure actuelle réglée, appuyez sur le bouton PROG jusqu'à ce que
"Timer" s'affiche.

après l'infusion.
Remarque : Pour annuler la fonction de délai, appuyez une fois sur la touche ON/
AUTO/OFF. Pour démarrer immédiatement le processus de chauffage, appuyez
deux fois sur la touche ON/AUTO/OFF.
14Nettoyage et entretien
• Assurez-vous que l'appareil est éteint et débranché du secteur avant de le
nettoyer.
• Assurez-vous toujours que la machine et la cafetière sont complètement
refroidies avant de les nettoyer.
• Essuyez le corps principal de la cafetière avec un chiffon doux et humide et
séchez soigneusement.
• Nettoyez toutes les pièces détachables après chaque utilisation dans de l'eau
chaude savonneuse et séchez-les soigneusement.
• N'utilisez pas de produits abrasifs tels que des tampons à récurer ou des
produits chimiques agressifs pour nettoyer l'appareil car cela pourrait
l'endommager.
• Assurez-vous toujours que toutes les pièces amovibles sont propres et sèches
avant de remonter l'appareil.
• La machine à café et ses accessoires, y compris la cafetière, ne vont pas au lave-
vaisselle.
Détartrage de l'appareil
Attention : Les pannes de produit dues à l'entartrage ne sont pas couvertes par la
garantie.
Détartrez toujours l'appareil régulièrement. Plus l'eau est dure, plus elle doit être
détartrée régulièrement. Nous recommandons de détartrer l'appareil au moins une
fois par mois.
Pour enlever les dépôts minéraux :
Remplissez le réservoir d'eau avec 1,5 L (12 tasses) d'eau et ajoutez-y la solution
détartrante.
Placer la cafetière sur la plaque chaude.
Exécutez un cycle de préparation comme indiqué à la section "Mode d'emploi"
sans placer le café dans le filtre.
Une fois que la machine à café a distribué environ 1 tasse, appuyez deux fois sur
la touche ON/AUTO/OFF pour annuler le processus de préparation.
Laisser la solution agir dans l'appareil pendant au moins 15 minutes.
Effectuez un autre cycle de chauffage jusqu'à ce que le réservoir d'eau soit vide
et que toute la solution détartrante soit passée à travers l'appareil.
Faire couler de l'eau propre dans l'appareil trois autres fois avant de l'utiliser à
nouveau.
15Garantie
A partir du 1er février 2014, chaque achat sur le site Web d'Andrew James UK Ltd est
assorti d'une garantie fixe de 24 mois. Nous réparerons ou remplacerons tout article
jugé défectueux, s'il est dans sa période de garantie et après réception de l'article ou
des articles. Cependant, certaines pièces de rechange comme les ampoules

• Die Maschine braut das gesamte Wasser, das in den Tank gegeben wird, nur die
Menge hinzu, die Sie verbrauchen möchten. Min. - 125ml (1 Tasse), Max. - 1,5 l (12
Tassen).
• Die automatische Warmhaltefunktion startet, sobald die Maschine den vollen Inhalt
des Tanks aufgebrüht hat, dieser bleibt 40 Minuten lang eingeschaltet oder wird
manuell gelöscht.
• Tipp - Für beste Ergebnisse lassen Sie den Kaffee vor dem Servieren 5-10 Minuten
ruhen.
• Um den Vorgang abzubrechen, drücken Sie die ON/AUTO/OFF-Taste zweimal, das Licht
leuchtet 15 Sekunden lang blau. Nach 15 Sekunden erlischt das blaue Licht, um
anzuzeigen, dass die Maschine gestoppt ist und die Heizplatte nicht mehr erhitzt wird.
• Tipp - Für extra heißen Kaffee versuchen Sie, die Tasse vorzuwärmen oder erwärmte
Milch hinzuzufügen.
• Hinweis - Die Kaffeemaschine stoppt die Brühung automatisch, wenn die
Kaffeemaschine entfernt wird. Entfernen Sie die Kaffeemaschine nicht länger als 30
Sekunden, während das Gerät brüht.
20Speicher
Wenn die Stromversorgung unterbrochen ist oder während des Betriebs
unbeabsichtigt gezogen wurde, beginnt das Gerät nach dem Wiedereinschalten an
der Stelle, an der es unterbrochen wurde, zu arbeiten. Wenn das Gerät länger als
15 Sekunden vom Stromnetz getrennt wird, müssen alle Funktionen neu gestartet
werden, einschließlich der Einstellung der Uhrzeit und der automatischen
Startfunktion.
Automatische Startfunktion
Wenn Sie nicht sofort Kaffee zubereiten möchten, befolgen Sie bitte die folgenden
Anweisungen, um den Beginn der Operation zu verzögern.
1. Führen Sie die Schritte 1-5 unter "Gebrauchsanweisung" aus.
2. Um die aktuelle Uhrzeit einzustellen, drücken Sie PROG einmal, bis "Clock"
angezeigt wird, und verwenden Sie die Tasten HOUR und MIN zum Einstellen.
3. Sobald die aktuelle Uhrzeit eingestellt ist, drücken Sie die PROG-Taste, bis
"Timer" angezeigt wird.
4. Stellen Sie mit den Tasten HOUR und MIN die Verzögerungszeit ein, in der das
Gerät mit dem Brühen beginnen soll.
5. Nachdem Sie die aktuelle und Verzögerungszeit eingestellt haben, drücken Sie
die PROG-Taste, bis "Clock" und "Timer" verschwunden sind.
6. Drücken Sie die ON/AUTO/OFF-Taste zweimal, die Kontrollleuchte leuchtet
blau und beginnt zu blinken.
7. Wenn die Kaffeemaschine zum Brühen bereit ist, hört das EIN/AUTO/AUS auf,
blau zu blinken und wird rot. Die Kaffeemaschine schaltet sich nach 40
Minuten automatisch ab, wenn sie nicht nach dem Brühen manuell
abgeschaltet wird.
Hinweis: Um die Verzögerungsfunktion abzubrechen, drücken Sie einmal die ON/
AUTO/OFF-Taste. Um den Brühvorgang zu starten, drücken Sie sofort zweimal die
Taste ON/AUTO/OFF.
21Reinigung und Wartung
• Vergewissern Sie sich vor der Reinigung, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet und vom
Netz getrennt ist.
• Stellen Sie immer sicher, dass Maschine und Kaffeemaschine vor der Reinigung
vollständig abgekühlt sind.
• Wischen Sie den Hauptkörper der Kaffeemaschine mit einem weichen, feuchten
Tuch ab und trocknen Sie ihn gründlich.
• Reinigen Sie nach jedem Gebrauch alle abnehmbaren Teile in warmer
Seifenlauge und trocknen Sie sie gründlich.
• Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung des Gerätes keine abrasiven Materialien wie
Scheuerschwamm oder aggressive Chemikalien, da dies zu Schäden führen kann.
• Vergewissern Sie sich immer, dass alle abnehmbaren Teile sauber und trocken
sind, bevor Sie das Gerät wieder zusammenbauen.
• Die Kaffeemaschine und das Zubehör, einschließlich der Kaffeemaschine, sind
nicht spülmaschinenfest.
Entkalkung Ihres Gerätes
Bitte beachten Sie: Produktversagen aufgrund von Kalkablagerungen fallen nicht
unter die Garantie.
Entkalken Sie das Gerät immer regelmäßig. Je härter Ihr Wasser, desto
regelmäßiger muss es entkalkt werden. Wir empfehlen, das Gerät mindestens
einmal im Monat zu entkalken.
Zur Entfernung von mineralischen Ablagerungen:
Füllen Sie den Wassertank mit 1,5 l (12 Tassen) Wasser und geben Sie die
Entkalkungslösung dazu.
Stellen Sie die Kaffeemaschine auf den warmen Teller.
Führen Sie einen Brühzyklus wie unter "Gebrauchsanweisung" beschrieben
durch, ohne Kaffee in den Filter zu geben.
Nachdem die Kaffeemaschine ca. 1 Tasse ausgegeben hat, drücken Sie zweimal
die Taste ON/AUTO/OFF, um den Brühvorgang abzubrechen.
Lassen Sie die Lösung mindestens 15 Minuten im Gerät einwirken.
Führen Sie einen weiteren Brühzyklus durch, bis der Wassertank leer ist und die
gesamte Entkalkungslösung das Gerät passiert hat.
Lassen Sie noch dreimal sauberes Wasser durch das Gerät laufen, bevor Sie es
erneut verwenden.
22Garantie
Ab dem 1. Februar 2014 gilt für jeden Kauf auf der Website von Andrew James UK
Ltd. eine feste Garantie für 24 Monate. Wir reparieren oder ersetzen alle als
fehlerhaft befundenen Artikel, wenn sie innerhalb der Garantiezeit und nach Erhalt
des Artikels oder der Artikel liegen. Einige Ersatzteile wie Halogen-Ofenlampen und
Vakuum-Versiegelungsbeutel fallen jedoch nicht unter die 2-Jahres-Garantie von
Andrew James.
