WELCOME

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our

                Belgian-Canadian Business Luncheon on the

Digital Economy. This extended discussion is

intended to foster a bilateral innovation

                exchange, identifying areas of potential

                collaboration between key business

stakeholders of our two nations. It is an

opportune time for us to explore where

                interests converge, as the Canada

                European-Union Comprehensive Economic

and Trade Agreement (CETA) promises to

reduce barriers, making trade and business

                relations easier.

Today’s diverse digital economy is seeing a

growing need for talent and knowledge

                exchange, with advancements and

                innovations shaping FinTech, Artificial

                Intelligence & Robotics, Blockchain,

                Autonomous Vehicles, Industry 4.0, 5G

                wireless, amongst many others. The

possibilities for avenues of collaboration are

                extensive, including: research &

                development, commercialization, talent, as

well as policies and regulations to advance

                mutual economic objectives.

BIENVENUE

Je suis heureux de vous accueillir à notre

                déjeuner d’affaires sur l’économie numérique

de la Belgique et du Canada. Cette

                discussion approfondie vise à favoriser

                l’échange bilatéral d’innovations et à cerner

                des secteurs de collaboration potentielle

entre les intervenants commerciaux clés de

nos deux pays. C’est un moment opportun

pour nous d’explorer où nos intérêts

                convergent, alors que l’Accord économique

et commercial global entre le Canada et

l’Union européenne promet de réduire les

obstacles, facilitant ainsi le commerce et les

                relations d’affaires.
