   Marino’s mission is informed by the life and example of Blessed Edmund Rice;
our ethos is Catholic and in this context, the Institute has a particular interest in
providing education programmes to empower those who experience marginalisation
or disadvantage. However, we are an ecumenical community welcoming students
of all faiths and none, and prepare our students to teach and work in various
school settings and sectors. We also have a strong commitment to providing an
environment which promotes and values the Irish language, and we are delighted
to have been selected to provide the first Irish-medium primary teacher education
programme in the history of the State. This programme which took in its first
students in 2019, marks a watershed in the provision of Irish medium education
and will have a significant impact in Gaelscoileanna and schools in the Gaeltacht
into the future.

All courses are recognised and accredited by Trinity College Dublin, the University
of Dublin and our teacher preparation courses meet the professional requirements
of the Teaching Council. Year on year we are extending our postgraduate provision
and are leading national research projects, such as DEEPEN, commissioned by the
Teaching Council to review of the Droichead process. Marino Institute of Education
is a vibrant educational community with just over 1100 students, and offers you
the opportunity to have a rich and focused college experience.

Come visit our beautiful campus and experience for yourself the tradition of care,
community, and excellence for which our Institute is renowned.
