Truecaller updated its iOS app to help
                      identify numbers

The Truecaller has updated its iOS app with a new refreshed look. The
Truecaller version 5.0 shows a new widget support.

The new widget has lot of things in store that may force you to find out
in very less time. By just swiping down in the widget directly on the homescreen, it is
capable of identifying missed calls quickly.

It lets users to simply copy the number from the call register or call
history and simply drag it down to identify the caller’s identity.

Apple had last year introduced support for widgets with the iOS 8,
pertinent to mention here, which also brings support for third-party apps.

The iOS app has a completely re-designed look. It also has ability to
keep your phone updated by tapping into data and photos from one’s social media profiles.

You can simply swipe left to place a call or text, on pulling a user
profile. It has some quick ways to send text messages or place a call to user profiles that have
been just discovered.

The new update also includes improved spam filters for protection
against unwanted calls. The app also claims to be faster than before.
NASA pays tribute to Star Trek’s Spock

NASA is mourning the demise of Hollywood actor Leonard Nimoy,
most famous for his role as Vulcan science officer Mr. Spock in the famous film “Star Trek”.

The sci-fi classic served as an inspiration for many at NASA over the
years, and Nimoy joined other cast members at special NASA events and worked to promote
NASA missions.

Nimoy was there for the 1976 rollout of the shuttle Enterprise, named
for the show’s iconic spacecraft.

“Leonard Nimoy was an inspiration to multiple generations of
engineers, scientists, astronauts, and other space explorers. As Mr. Spock, he made science
and technology important to the story, while never failing to show, by example, that it is the
people around us who matter most,” NASA administrator Charles Bolden said in a statement.

“NASA was fortunate to have him as a friend and a colleague. He was
much more than the Science Officer for the USS Enterprise,” he continued.

Nimoy was a talented actor, director, philanthropist and a gracious man
dedicated to art in many forms.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the legions
of Star Trek fans around the world,” Bolden added.

NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, soon to go on a one-year mission to the
International Space Station (ISS) and current station astronaut Sam Cristoforetti joined others
in paying tributes to Nimoy on Twitter.

Nimoy’s own final tweet, posted Feb 23, signed off like all his tweets,
with “LLAP”, an abbreviation for Spock’s “Live Long and Prosper”.
Tim Cook: Apple Watch will replace car keys

Apple Watch will replace your car keys and its battery will last the
whole day, Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook told the Telegraph in an interview.

The watch is designed to replace car keys and the clumsy, large fobs
that are now used in many vehicles, Cook told the newspaper.

Its battery will last the whole day, and will not take as long to charge as
an iPhone, the report quoted Cook as saying.

Apple Watch will also work as a credit card through Apple Pay, Cook
told the paper, but did not mention how user verification will work with the watch.

The rollout of the watch might pose a challenge for Apple’s stores,
which may involve “tweaking the experience in the store,” the Telegraph said, citing Cook’s
conversation with the staff at Apple’s Covent Garden store in London.

Last March, Apple unveiled CarPlay, which lets drivers access contacts
on their iPhones, make calls or listen to voicemails without taking their hands off the steering
wheel.

Earlier this month, Reuters reported that the iPhone maker is looking at
making a self-driving electric car, and is talking to experts at carmakers and automotive
suppliers.

In the interview, Cook said that the Apple Watch will operate a special
rewards system, track the user’s activity and “be correct to 50 milliseconds.” Apple was not
immediately available for comment.
