Identifying needs
Red Box are already at the forefront of sustainability and social awareness, a principal that
runs throughout their entire business, which is supported across all departments and which
influences every decision they make, both internally and externally.
They continually identify areas for positive change, which has seen them reduce their carbon
footprint by 25% already.
Despite this, Red Box wanted to do more and turned to Blue Leaf in order to focus on their
print environment and determine if further environmental savings could be made?
Beyond the obvious Environmental Audit We take the responsibility of promoting environmental change very seriously and it simply isn’t a case of applying a ‘Green Wash’ and only focusing on areas of ‘obvious’. Unlike most, Red Box are already making incredible progress and it was our responsibility to go even deeper and to look at the less obvious. We immediately focused on what and how much Red Box were printing across their business and just as importantly, what they were printing on. Red Box, like most, weren’t aware of the devastating impact using laser printers and copiers have on the environment and were using various laser devices throughout all departments, with no document solution in place.
