             New 'Member Only' resources section

Each year over 2,000 Business North Harbour members attend our 30+ events and workshops. In
many cases, members cannot always attend these events in person and have to rely on reading the
written summaries which we provide. In an effort to provide members with additional resources, we
have commenced filming key workshops and to make the content available via the 'Member Area'
section of the website. Members are required to log in and go to the new 'Member Resources' page.

                                  discontinuation
Auckland moving to Alert Level 3
After a full review, Business North Harbour will be discontinuing the operating of its street cameras.
The rationale behind this decision is that (i) these cameras were originally installed for crime
prevention but have now been deemed obsolete by the New Zealand Police and; (ii) it was only as a
by-product they were used as a traffic management tool which has also now become obsolete due to
superior technologies such as Google Maps. Please note that Business North Harbour will continue to
provide live motorway feeds via our website through the NZ Transport Agency cameras.

  Employment Law Fundamentals: Restructuring –
how to avoid it and how to do it
Auckland moving to Alert Level 3
In these challenging times, this workshop focused on a most delicate topic. It was perhaps not
surprising then that, although well-attended, the atmosphere was rather more muted and earnest
than at some other Business North Harbour events. Eleanor Gregan is a senior solicitor at
Davenports Harbour Lawyers. In a little under an hour she guided her audience through many
employment issues which are especially pertinent right now, highlighting fundamental essentials and
warning of common pitfalls. Read more.

                      North Harbour security alert
Auckland moving to Alert Level 3
It has been brought to our attention that we have offenders driving around in a silver Nissan wagon
on random nights and/or early mornings visiting properties to inspect their waste skips and
dumpsters for anything of value. Wherever possible, we ask that you secure the lids of the bins and
ensure that nothing else of value is left outside that could be stolen. The North Shore Police have
been made aware of this behaviour as have our nightly security patrols. Any added security
prevention that you are able to provide will deter these offenders away from your property until they
are apprehended.
