Re-teach:​​ Action verbs are words that are used to describe an action of
the subject of the sentence.

For example: ​ I ​jumped​​ ​over the puddle​.

The verbs are shown in bold print and underlined.

Directions: ​On this snow day, think about actions you have done today
(reading, rested, etc.). Make a list of 10 - 12 verbs that show action. Then,
write two sentences and underline the verb in each sentence.
