    GATESHEAD COUNCIL
Trophies will be presented by the
       Northumberland & Durham Area Chairman,
          on Saturday 8th August at 2:00pm on
        The Concourse at The Sage Gateshead.

             Trophies will be Awarded to:-
        The Best in Show excluding Club Class
 To the Club with most points in ALL classes including
       the Craft Class and Photography Classes
                   The Best Pedestal
          The Best use Garden Plant Material
                 The Best use of Colour

Floral Art entries MUST be pre entered using entry form attached
Closing date for Floral Art entries will be Monday 20th July 2015
NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED
Staging Friday 7th August – 8am to 3.30pm (Hall to be cleared no
later than this time)
Dismantling Sunday 9th August 4pm (Area cleared by 4.30pm)
ALL EXHIBITORS MUST BE MEMBERS OF AN AFFILIATED
NORTHUMBERLAND & DURHAM AREA FLOWER CLUB.
CLUB NAME TO BE STATED ON ENTRY FORM

  -    The position to be occupied by the exhibitors will be decided by
       the Show Referee
  -    Nothing may be attached to the staging background in any class
  -    Artificial flowers, fruit or vegetables are not permitted
  -    Any background used by a competitor MUST be freestanding
  -    Accessories may be used in any class at exhibitors own risk
  -    Measurements in all classes are approximate.
  -    All exhibits will be judged according to NAFAS Competitions
       Manual Second Edition 2009.
  -    Care must be taken not to cause any damage to any part of the
       Concourse.
  -    All rubbish must be removed to a designated point.
  -    No items may be stored in or around the venue.

      ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE STAGED ON THE CONCOURSE

                      CLASS 4 Petite &
                       CLASS 7 Craft
            Which may be brought ready assembled.

CLASS 1          “NORTHERN OVERTURE”- An exhibit
to include a title
Space allowed: width 122 cm, depth 122 cm, height unlimited.
Staged on a platform 30 cm from ground.
Platform covered in pale green material.
To be staged by a maximum of TWO people
To be viewed and judged all round
                 Prizes 1st £50 2nd £25 3rd £15

           CLASSES 2 to 8 open to All Members of the
        Northumberland and Durham Area of NAFAS only .

CLASS 2 “DANCE TO THE MUSIC”
A pedestal exhibit
Space allowed: width 122 cm, depth 122 cm, height 213 cm
Staged on a platform 30 cm from ground
Platform and background covered in pale green material.
To be viewed and judged from front.
To be staged by one competitor.
Competitors must supply their own pedestal/plinth.
              Prizes 1st £40 2nd £25 3rd £15
CLASS 3        “CURVES IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES”- An exhibit
Space Allowed: width 122 cm, depth 122 cm, height 213 cm.
Staged on a platform 30 cm from ground. To incorporate a supplied,
rectangular plinth - top of plinth 30 cm x 30 cm, sides 30 cm x 100 cm.
To be viewed and judged from front. Platform, plinth and background
covered in pale green material.
                       Prizes 1st £20 2nd £15 3rd £10

CLASS 4       “FANFARE”- Petite exhibit
Not to exceed 25 cm in width, depth & height.
Staged on a bench 78 cm from ground, covered in pale green material.
  May be brought ready assembled.
                        Prizes 1st £15 2nd £10 3rd £7

CLASS 5         “SHADES OF ………….. “
An exhibit to feature foliage
Space Allowed: width 91 cm, depth 91 cm, height 122 cm.
Staged on bench 78 cm from ground, base and background covered in
pale green material.
                Prizes 1st £20 2nd £15    3rd £10

CLASS 6      “WANDERING” - An exhibit
Space allowed width 150 cm, depth 100 cm, height optional.
Staged on grey composite floor, which is to be protected by competitor
To be viewed and judged all round.

CRAFT CLASS
CLASS 7– Craft Exhibit – “TYNE MONTAGE”
No artificial plant material allowed.
Featuring Fresh, dried and/or preserved plant material.
Accessories allowed.
To be free standing maximum size A3 29.7 cm x 42 cm
May be brought ready assembled to be displayed on a bench 78 cm
from ground covered in pale green fabric

Staged on tables covered in pale green material.

CLASS 9 “WATER IN THE LANDSCAPE”

CLASS 10       “BEAUTY IN THE DETAIL”- To feature flowers and/or
foliage.

CLASS 11 “MY FAVOURITE PLACE” For Members who have not
previously won a First prize in a Northumberland & Durham Area
Photography competition

All Photography classes prints should be no larger than 8” x 6” (20 cm x
15 cm) and may be mounted with overall dimensions not exceeding
10” x 8” (25 cm x 20 cm)     prizes 1st £6 2nd £4 3rd £2

Exhibitors may enter a maximum of 2 prints in each class.
In each class prints may be colour or monochrome
Photographs will be judged prior to the event and should be
posted to Wendy Smith, Photography rep, 4 Valeside, DURHAM
DH1 4RF by the closing date of 15th June
