Pupils are considered late if they are not in the assembly area (school hall,
parade square or classrooms) by 7.30 a.m.
Please note that P1 pupils will be dismissed at 1pm on 4th January. (First day of school)
Please note that no visitors are allowed into the school from 1pm to 2pm daily.
Dismissal hours are subject to change (staggered dismissal) pending prevailing
situation in 2021.

2School Information:
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Gate 2 / Main Gate
If you are driving, please do not alight your child/children at the
main school gate for safety reasons. Please proceed to the HDB
Carpark near Blk 413 to alight and walk with them to Gate 3.
Only school buses and authorised vehicles are allowed to drive
into the school through the main gate. All parking lots in the
school are reserved for season parking only.
HDB Carpark near Blk 413 and at Gate 3.
Please park your car in a lot so as not to obstruct vehicle movement
in the carpark. Pupils will enter the school via Gate 3.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Arrival on first day of school
On 4 January 2021, P1 pupils to have staggered arrival.
Pupils from
1A, 1B: Arrive between 8.00 - 8.10 a.m.
1C, 1D: Arrive between 8.10 - 8.20 a.m.
1E, 1F: Arrive between 8.20 - 8.30 a.m.
Pupils will be ushered to their P1 classrooms by teachers. Pupils arriving
by school bus will be ushered to their classrooms upon arrival.
Parents in orientation programme
Due to Safe Measurement Measures, only one parent/guardian per child
is invited for the orientation programme on the first day of school in the
school hall on 4 January 2021.
Do remember to fill in all the important information on your lanyard:
Your child/ward's after school arrangements and parents' contact numbers.
Dismissal on first day of school
Early dismissal for only 4 January 2021 at 1 p.m.
Other days: 1.20 p.m. or 1.05 p.m. (Term 1)
1.30 p.m. or 1.15 p.m. (Term 2, 3 and 4)
All P1 pupils will be dismissed at Gate 3, class by class, if they
are not taking the school bus.
Pupils will be handed over to parents/guardians personally by the
teachers. Please note that your child will NOT BE ALLOWED to
leave the school without you.

* Remember to fill in important information on your lanyard: Your child’s
name, class, after school arrangements and parents' contact numbers.
Reminders
Label all personal items (e.g. water bottles, pencil case etc)
Note:
Do not bring any textbooks/workbooks until further instructions from
the teachers (Reminder).
Class timetable will be given out in Term 1 Week 2.
Snack Break
In addition to the pupil’s recess time, there will be a snack break daily.
10 mins snack time at 12 pm
Prepare a simple dry snack eg. bread, fruits, biscuits
Try out “snack time” at home!

What are the tasks that my child should be able to do independently?
Personal hygiene eg. going to the toilet, hand washing, tying shoe
laces, buttoning his/her shirt/blouse
Organising school bag (with help from parents)
Counting money and receiving change
Listening to simple instructions
School Uniform - Name Tags
All pupils must have their name tags sewn on their uniform when
they report for school on the first day of the new academic year.
The cloth name tags have been pre-ordered on your behalf.
Do make a payment of $7.00 as you collect the 7 name tags.
All P1 pupils are expected to wear their coloured lanyards on the
first day of school.

School Bag Guidelines
Avoid buying trolley bags as they are
heavier than normal bags.
It is unhealthy for children’s physical
growth when they carry their trolley
bags up and down the steps.
Buy a bag made of lightweight material
which have as few compartments as possible.
Total weight should preferably be less
than 4 kg or 10-15 % of the child’s weight.

Books: Pacific Bookstore provides the service of ordering online at

School Bus Services
The school has appointed Kim Chye Bus Services to provide
school bus services.
The annual bus fees will be payable over 9 months in the school
academic year.
There is no collection for the months of June, November and
December. Parents/Guardians who wish to arrange for school
transport can visit their webpage at https://kcbus.net/schoolbus
to submit an online registration form by 30 November 2020 (Monday).
