About NHRDN
Established in the year 1987, with around 3000 members, the Delhi & NCR Chapter is one of the
most active regional chapters of the National HRD Network in India. It organizes training
programs and workshops, as well as regular special events with a view to address the emerging
trends and challenges in HR.
The National HRD Network (NHRDN) is a Global Centre for Grooming Leaders and the National
Apex body of professionals committed to promoting the People Development movement in the
country as well as enhancing the capability of human resource professionals to compete
globally, thereby creating value for society. Towards this end, National HRD Network is
committed to the development of human resources through education, training, research, and
experience sharing. Established over three decades ago, NHRDN is an autonomous, not-for-
profit, professionally managed organization, playing a catalyst role in grooming Leaders for
Tomorrow. It has over 13000 members representing Multinationals, Public and Private
organizations including Government, MSME, and NGOs spread across 30 Chapters in India and
serves as a reference point for HR Professionals in Indian Industry.
About NDIM
NEW DELHI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, set up in 1992, has been declared “Best Management
Institute of India” for ‘Industry Linkages’, third year in a row 2017, 2018, 2019 by the AICTE
(Government of India) and the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) after their nationwide year
long surveys of all the 10000+ technical and higher education AICTE approved institutions across
India under 19 parameters. NDIM has been declared Best also by the ASSOCHAM on 20th May 2017,
17th February 2018, 21st February 2019, February 2020, February 2021 (for placements/ for being
best in North India), and is known for finest placements. Declared best also by FICCI for
“Excellence in Employability through Industry Engagement” on 25th February 2021
And “Having been declared Best in India 3 years in a row 2017, 2018 and 2019; NDIM has been
elevated and declared as the First and the only “Mentor Institute” in India in the Management
category by the AICTE and CII”.
NDIM runs AICTE approved, nationally and internationally accredited, PGDM which has been
declared MBA equivalent by the AIU and AICTE in 10 specialisations including “AI-ML, Data
Science, Business Analytics and Digital Marketing” and is one of the few institutions approved by
the AICTE for PGDM in Entrepreneurship-Innovation & Venture Development. NDIM also prepares
graduates in every discipline for jobs with Japanese Companies (under TITP license from NSDC,
Government of India) with high-end Japanese Language & Culture Programmes NDIM Chosen by
the UK India Business Council, London, British Council and Pearson to partner with leading UK
Universities for Higher Education Virtual Delegation.

Background for the Awards
Businesses in India are reeling with moments of uncertainty. Be it at the fundamental level or at the top
level, organizations across all sectors are fighting to make things even. The new normal is here to stay. In a
situation like this when communities, ecosystems, supply chains, are massively affected – the role of HR is
prime.
It is time that the world recognizes the efforts of HR Professionals and their role in managing the biggest of
disruptions faced by Global organizations globally. Since public acknowledgment at times is not
commensurate with the outstanding efforts of several HR achievers, organizations and individuals
NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter and New Delhi Institute of Management are proud to announce People
Excellence Awards 2021.
