established back in 1985 with the local school helping the farm get started
by being our very first “customers”. The farm is currently owned and operated
by Katie & Lindsay, Liz & Alan. Our journey started over a Sunday lunch when
it was suggested… “Hey why don’t we pop out and have a look at this place?”.
After the visit three of the current owners saw the potential in the property
and one (yes, there’s always one) saw their “to do list” for the next 5-10 years!
(haha). Over the years we have welcomed various staff to the TG team and
thanks to them the farm has continued to grow and get better every year!

their heels up and let their hair out and had some fun, whilst mixing and
mingling with the who’s who of the Disability Sector. Even though the dance
floor was busy all night, we managed to raise $18,570 for our two Charities,
RizeUp and Tourette Syndrome Association of Australia.

PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP BODY
SECTOR SURVEY
Have Your Voice Heard. Lets Improve The Sector Together! The National
Disability Sector Professional Development and Practice (NDSPDP) Survey is
a vehicle to support NDIS with accelerating positive change.
COVID-19 has increased the levels of dis-connection between Providers, Carers and Participants.
Now that we’re re-emerging, it’s time we assess and understand not just the impact COVID-19
has had on the sector, but how well equipped Providers, Carers and Professionals are to support
Participants to deliver the highest levels of service.
The NDSPDP Survey gives you the opportunity to have your voice heard. For you to tell us how
you’ve been affected by COVID-19, what you feel could be improved and how accessible and
relevant training is for you, so you can perform at your best.
The survey will run between April 29th to June 30th. Our goal is to have more than 1000 Providers,
Participants, Professionals, Carers, and Guardians take the survey during this period.
By completing this survey, you’ll not just have your voice heard, we’ll be compiling a report
highlighting the key findings and it will then formulate recommendations. These recommendations
will form the backbone of the National Disability Sector Professional Leadership Body, as a
framework of areas to improve.
Together with industry experts, we will work together to identify key projects to work on, to bring
about much needed changes in the Sector together.
Get involved, take the survey today and spread this with everyone you know in this Sector.
Together, we can bring about the change that’s needed!

THE DISABILITY SECTOR
MEMBERSHIP
The NDIS has done a spectacular job in giving participants more power over how they want to be
treated, by giving them more control of their funds and choice of Providers. Despite their best efforts,
there is still much complexity and confusion, not just for Participants, but for Providers working on
compliance whilst running their businesses effectively.
The National Disability Sector Professional Leadership Body (NDSPLB) has been created to support
the sector and NDIS with their initiative to empower Participants, Providers and Carers by acting as a
vehicle to accelerate the rate of positive change in the sector. We’ll achieve this by:
• Running annual National Disability Sector Professional Development and Practice surveys and
research projects, giving Participants, Carers, Guardians and Providers a voice
• Sharing the findings of the National Survey to clarify where work needs to be done
• Bring together Australia’s leading experts, institutions, providers and organisations to raise
awareness of key topics that the sector must address
• Working collaboratively across the sector to identify, focus and share best practices to benefit
everyone associated with the Industry
• Create leadership bodies in key areas of practice and think tanks to produce regular solutions
to the key challenges we all know exist from the Participants and Providers to better inform the
agencies involved
OUR GIFT TO YOU - FREE NDSPLB MEMBERSHIP
Simply by you attending today, you have become a free member of the body - YAY. This gives you:

comprehensive Disability Sector training program!
PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
We partner with Australia’s Disability Service Providers, Participants, Carers, Guardians and the
Community to ensure to;
• Understand training strengths and gaps
• Identify what topics would best equip staff
• What learning environments would best suit their needs (online, in person, blended)
• Provide ongoing professional development support not just for compliance, but to reduce staff
turnover and equip teams to the highest levels, beyond the basics
Launching in the second half of 2021, our programs ensure Providers Participants and Carers, have
the highest quality, advanced professional development training programs that equip them with the
right skills to embed sustained behavioural change.
By leveraging our panel of experts from our National Body and insights gained from the 2021
National Disability Sector Professional Development and Practice Survey, we co-create training
solutions to provide the right skills for the right people at the right time, ensuring the highest level of
service and care is provided to NDIS clients.
Together with it’s board, advisory panel experts and steering committee leaders, the NDSPLB will
continually address the most pressing questions and challenges that Participants, Providers and
Carers are up against. Through its work, the NDSPLB will work with NDIS to bring about needed
changes in the sector to ensure frustrations and bottlenecks are relieved one at a time.
The ultimate goal of the NDSPLB is to not just turn Australia into the world leader of disability best
practices, but for every Aussie to be proud of the disability sector, as we continually strive for the
highest service standards.
