From the Potentate Ill. Sir R. Scott Fitzgerald Greetings Antioch Shrine Nobles, Ladies and Friends, As I sit here writing this article I am feeling many different emotions. It has been great to be out and visiting many of the Shrine clubs and units throughout the Christmas season. As I look back on 2021, I am sad to see it ending and feel extremely blessed to have been able to serve you, our Nobles and all of Antioch this year. We had a great time at our parades, events, parties and other activities throughout the year. Thank you to all of you who attended the various events, for your support and commitment. As I looked forward to this year, we had made many plans for events. We were ready to be out and about, having the Shrine full again with our fellowship and even though some were not as highly attended as we had hoped, we feel that our year was successful, in a large part to you, the Nobles and Ladies of Antioch Shrine. We have definitely felt and greatly appreciated your support and encouragement this year and over the last four years as well! My membership goal for Antioch this year was to be +1 growth by end of the year. We did not meet this goal, but I am thankful for all our new nobles we have created this year. We all became Mason’s and Shriner’s and remain so because we feel a connection to this philanthropy. So, we need to reach out to our fellow Blue lodge brothers and their ladies to attend some of our events and show them what they can be a part of too! Let us share our love for this organi- zation with our friends and fellow Masonic brothers! Our children need them and us! As we close this year, I want to wish congratulations to the newly elected 2022 Divan and express best wishes for a suc- cessful year. From First Lady Sherry Nobles, Ladies, Friends and Family, This year has flown by, but I have enjoyed every minute of it because you all have been so supportive. We are really had a lot of fun in 2021! Ill. Sir Scott and I were very excited about the events we have had throughout the year. We hope that you enjoyed them as much as we did! We had wonderful time visiting clubs and units, attending parades and at the different events we held. Thank you to all who attended, supported and encouraged us throughout the year. My First Ladies projects this year were very successful. We have the sneeze guards on our serving tables and by several generous donations from ladies, nobles, clubs, units and the Cincinnati hospital, we restocked our kitchen with wonderful equipment. My yearlong and biggest project was to collect children’s books and school supplies for our patients at the hospital and area schools. We were able to donate children’s books and school supplies to Day- ton schoolchildren and we still have some on reserve for when we can make our contribution to Shriner’s Ohio. I visited the clubs and units over last year to ask for your support and donations for our many events and projects and you did not disappoint! Thank you to those who gave so generously. You all have been so supportive, and I greatly appreciate all you have done and given to help our children, whether they are patients or our community children. None of us knows when this fantas- tic experience will end. It can be taken away at any moment. Perhaps, this is God’s way of telling us that we must make the most out of every single day. Find something beautiful to notice. It doesn’t have to be something you see. It could be a scent, or it could be the sound of the breeze lightly rustling the leaves in the trees, or the way the morning light catches one autumn leaf as it falls gently to the ground. Please look for these things and cherish them.
