                            Motorclassica, held at the iconic Royal Exhibition Building,

AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL
CONCOURS d’ELEGANCE 2018
Concours d’Elegance (Fr): a competition of elegance, specifically pertaining to a competition
among classic and vintage automobiles judged on condition, appearance, originality and
historic significance.

One of only two Australian events nominated in the prestigious International Historic Motoring
Awards, the Australian International Concours d’Elegance, brings extraordinary, rare, desirable
and valuable collector cars and motorcycles from around Australia and the World in a three-
day celebration of classic motoring. Together they compete in a variety of show classes, all
ultimately vying for the coveted ‘‘Best in Show’’ award.

In October 2018, Motorclassica is proud to celebrate 90 years of the Australian Grand Prix,
along with tributes to Art Deco Cars & Motorcycles, Cadillac, the Last Days of the American
Supercar and Micro Cars.

CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW
Australia’s most important showcase of retailers and suppliers to motoring enthusiasts,
the Classic Motor Show encompasses a range of products and services including:

TOUR CLASSICA PRESENTED BY 3AW
The official opening event for Motorclassica, Tour Classica sees more than 80 Concours
competitors drive through the streets of Melbourne, en route to the grand arrival at the
Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. Joining the owners and drivers of these special cars and
motorcycles are a selection of special guests and media personalities, in this first sneak peek of
what Motorclassica promises for 2018.

CLUB SANDWICH PRESENTED BY
LORBEK LUXURY CARS
In 2017, nearly 500 collector cars and motorcycles from 44 motoring clubs gathered on the
Museum Plaza over three days for Club Sandwich, presented by Lorbek Luxury Cars. Car
Clubs showcase their best and the club lifestyle, which alongside the desirable modern classics
presented by the team at Lorbeks creates a hot spot for visitors.

LIVE RESTORATION THEATRE
Motorclassica’s new Live Restoration Theatre will span over 100sqm and feature the work of
some of Victoria’s most talented and accomplished automotive artisans. A showcase of several
traditional and modern trades, the Live Restoration Theatre will feature five cars in various
stages of restoration.

FUTURELAB
FutureLab is an interactive space promoting both the courses and future technology on offer
from some of Victoria’s most important universities, TAFEs and RTOs. Featuring a mix of
information booths and a communal interactive / demonstration space, this zone will be a key
feature of Friday’s Schools Program, first introduced at Motorclassica in 2017.
