Dear Instructors and athletes

It’s with great pleasure that myself Tony Morgan and Pete Adamsons would like to formally invite
you to our Scorpion Open Championships 2020.

We anticipate a full event, with this in mind please register your entries through the online
registration system www.ma-regonline.com

All advanced groups will be using and supplied with GEN 2 Daedo Electronic Body Protectors
(PSS) and E-headguards.

MATCHES START               9.30am for pee and children - Please note Cadets, Junior and
                            Seniors will start after the weigh in closes.

COMPETITORS:                All age groups will be split into A and B class.

                            All competitors £40 entry fee.

                            All A class competitors will be using GEN 2 Dae Do PSS & E-
                            headguards

                            (Competitors will need to supply their own socks and heel socks

                            All B Class competitors need to provide their own PPE
                            recognised by World Taekwondo.

                            Please be aware that in the event of insufficient entries some
                            categories may be combined.

REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS AND COACHES:

•    All participants must be members of British Taekwondo.
•    To register players please visit www.ma-regonline.com and sign into your account.
•    All competitors and coaches must have a valid membership at the time of registration and competition.
•    Any competitor or coach who fails the audit will not be allowed to participate in the competition. At this
     stage no refunds will be given.
•    It’s the responsibility of the coach/instructor to ensure that theirs and their player details are entered
     correctly, including the membership number.

    Weight divisions with only one competitor in may be combined with an adjoining weight group and or classification.
Payment:
• All entires MUST be accompanied by FULL payment unless prior arrangements have been made.
• £40 would need still need to be paid for students that fail to turn up on the day.
• £40 Fee - For any withdraws after capacity is reached or Friday 10 July 2020 @ 9pm would need to be
    paid in full. Withdraws prior to this date or before capacity is reached can be done free of charge.
• Weight changes on the day of the event will incur a £15 fee, payable on the day.
• Once capacity is reached any students/clubs that have not paid in full will be asked to make the relevant
    payment, failure to do so would result in removal of their entries.

       Once payment has been made, please contact the event organisers to confirm the transaction.

Weigh In:
Saturday 18 July, Scorpion Taekwondo Centre, Scot Lane, Doncaster, DN1 1ES:

•    Weigh in is 5.00pm to 7.00pm
•    Weight changes can be made for a £15 payable at the weigh in.
•    Calibrated digital scales will be used and a maximum of 99grams (0.099KG) leniency will be granted

Sunday 19 July at the competition venue:

•    Weigh in is 8.00am - 9.00am Pee Wees and Kids 9.00am - 10.00am Cadet, Junior and Seniors.
•    Calibrated digital scales will be used and a maximum of 99grams (0.099KG) leniency will be granted.
•    Weight changes can be made for a £15, payable at the weigh in.

Competition Draw:
•    The competition draw will take place immediately after the weigh in closes on the Sunday.
•    Once the weigh in closes no changes will be made.
•    Competitors may be moved up or down one weight group dependant on the number of entries.

Awards:
•    1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be handed out.
•    The top three teams will receive an award.
•    Gold - 7 points
•    Silver - 3 points
•    Bronze - 1 point
•    3 points for every match won.
