Fred Cooke has left his twinkle toes behind him from ‘Dancing with the

enables him to paint comical situations before delivering unexpected killer

As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge
his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the
impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security
of the state. This production renders Shakespeare’s protagonist identifiable
to a new generation. Lyndsey Turner directs with visual flair and gothic
sensibility while Benedict Cumberbatch delivers a masterful interpretation of
a Hamlet profoundly torn. This screening is presented in association with IFI
Education, for TY and senior cycle students.
