The Fortius Foundation bought the land and built the facility that is at the heart of Fortius Sport
& Health in Burnaby, B.C. We enhanced it with leading-edge equipment and technologies.
Our focus is to support the development and sustainability of innovative programs that
utilize the unique Fortius Sport & Health facility to help Canadian children and adults make
the most of their potential to lead active, healthy lives.

We are a registered charity inspired to collaborate with like-minded, innovative organizations
and individuals that recognize the power of sport to transform lives.
We are so excited to present our 5th Anniversary Auction Catalogue. We
have received items from many of the great athletes who have trained at
Fortius Sport & Health over the last year, and from our generous corporate
and individual supporters. All proceeds from the auction will support the
KidsMove Schools program. With the support of our community donors,
and the proceeds from our last silent auction, (which raised $16,000 for
the program!) we have further expanded this program. A key step for us
this year has been the addition of a teacher training component which is
building capacity directly in schools. Last month, our coaches delivered the
first in-school training session at Douglas Road Elementary, supported by a
generous donation from Beedie. This enabled all the teachers at the school
to learn how to help children of all abilities and backgrounds to be active
and healthy. The Beedie donation also provided a box of equipment that
the school will be able to use for years to come. Through this auction, we
aim to expand this truly impactful initiative once again, so I hope you will
