ARRIVE: Saint-Raymond Arrive at the Hotel Roquemont, located one hour north of Quebec City between 3-5 pm. After check-in you have some time to yourself to deal with any last minute concerns. We recommend removing your sled from trailer upon arrival. Meet and greet in lounge at 6pm followed by dinner as a group. Review of safety and security procedures. Lodging: Hotel Roquemont DAY 1: Saint-Raymond/Windigo Breakfast at the hotel. If necessary, pick up any sled rentals. Trail is an old railroad bed for first 28 miles. Fuel in Riviere Pierre before heading into the park. Dinner and lodging at Windigo (70 miles by gravel road to town). Power for lodge is generated on site. Lodging: Pourvourie Windigo Distance: 190 miles DAY 2: Windigo/Lamarche Breakfast. We head east on trail 83. This is a fifty mile section of trail that is very wide with sweeping turns. Lunch in Roberval. We circle Lac St Jean clockwise before arriving at the night’s destination. Lodging in small cabins with option of a “flambe” dinner. Lodging: Monts Vilain Distance: 170 miles DAY 3: Lamarche/Herberville Breakfast. This day starts in the nature of Monts-Valin. Scenery can’t get any better than this. This area normally has 30 weeks of snow and well-groomed trails. Dinner and lodging at a welcoming inn. Lodging: Auberge Presbytere Distance: 140 miles DAY 4: Herberville/Saint-Raymond Breakfast. This whole day is spent in the Parc Laurentides on trail 23. This ride is one of my favorites. Return any rentals. Finish the tour with dinner, celebration and lodging at the Hotel Roquemont. Lodging: Hotel Roquemont Distance: 190 miles DAY 5: Depart Breakfast. Begin trip home.
