SPAIN COVID-19 REGULATIONS Updated Restrictions for Christmas & New Year: Date: 23rd of December 2021 “COVID PASSPORT” In many places in Spain, it is now compulsory to show your “Covid Passport” before you are allowed to enter bars, restaurants, clubs, concerts, gyms, and leisure/sports facilities etc. A “Covid Passport” can be any of the following: - A recognized vaccine certificate (e.g. EU Certificate & QR Code). - An official certificate showing that you have recovered from COVID-19 within the last 6 months. - A negative test results certificate (PCR valid for 72 hours, Antigen valid for 48 hours). Digital or Hard copy & ID - You can download your QR code/Certificate on your phone or carry a paper copy with you. - You must also carry your ID to be checked against the certificate so that they can verify it is yours (passport / national ID card). Regional Rules: The rules may vary slightly depending on the region you are in, for example in the Balearics and Valencia the Covid Passport is only needed in venues with a capacity of 50 people or more, whereas in Catalunya it is necessary regardless of capacity. We recommend that carry your certificates and ID with you everywhere just in case. Fines: Venues that do not comply with the new measures may be fined up to 60,000€ so they will be taking it very seriously.
