Entries that are submitted, for the first time, after January 7, 2021
will be charged $75.00 per horse flat post entry fee for the entire show.
Class fees remain the same as published.
Pre-entered horses who want to add classes will be
charged a $25.00 flat post entry fee per horse.
Class fees remain the same as published. .
No Post entries in Dressage. 2019 tests will be used
Please Note - Dressage classes may not be run in class order.
Dressage ride times will be given on a first come first served basis,
please note there will be only 70 rides.

TBA - SCHAA/AHASFV Show has allotted space for TBA classes. TBA classes may be any class on the AHA class list or that
is recognized by AHA with the exception of dressage, cutting, reined cow, hunter/jumper. TBA Fee is $65/class plus the class
entry fee. TBAs are given on a first come first served basis only and must be reserved by January 16, 2021 with the show
secretary.
10ENTRY FORM INFORMATION
• Official Entry Form for this Show MUST be used; forms must be complete. ONE OWNER per Form. No HORSE may be entered on more than one
Form.
• Include copies of REGISTRATION PAPERS (FRONT on new style papers; FRONT and BACK on old style papers) for each horse entered.
• Farm name may be used if the stable or farm is the bona fide owner appearing on the horse’s registration papers. The owner must have an AHA
Business membership and that owner AHA number must be used. The owner must have a USEF Farm ID# or Farm Recording Certificate and one
of the owner’s must be a qualified USEF member. Copies of AHA Business membership card, USEF Farm ID# or Certificate must be submitted with
the entry.
• Horses entered in AMATEUR OWNER and JUNIOR OWNER classes must be registered in the name of competitor or member of competitor’s family.
• Every Owner, Exhibitor, Trainer & Rider/Driver/Handler or his/her agent(s) must sign the back of the entry blank. In the case of a Rider/Driver/Handler
under 18, his/her parent or guardian, or if not available, the trainer, must sign the entry blank on minor’s behalf. Junior Owners are not eligible to sign
as trainer—adult must sign as trainer. If no trainer, owner must sign as owner & trainer.
• Include copies of current AHA COMPETITION membership cards for Owner, Trainer, Rider, Handler, Driver, Junior Owner & Riders and at least one
current owner. If any of the above persons do not have a current AHA Competition Card, each must pay $35.00.
• Include copies of current USEF Membership cards for EVERY Owner, Trainer, Rider, Handler, Driver and Junior Owner & Rider.
• Walk Trot riders must list their birthdates on the back of the entry form under the parent signature. If address of Walk Trot rider is different than owner
listed on entry form, please write the W/T rider address on the back of the entry.
• Payment MUST accompany entry form. Entries will not be processed unless they are accompanied by the total amount due. If either the entry form
or payment (or both) is submitted after the close of entries (Jan 7, 2021), the entry will be considered late and post entry fees will be charged. *If a
check is post dated or received late, you will be assessed the penalty fee at the time the check is payable.
GENERAL INFORMATION
STABLING INFORMATION - Each animal must be assigned to a separate stall with a door (exception: broodmares with suckling foals) unless no stall
is requested, in which case a trailer-in fee of $35.00 per horse per day shall be charged. Stalls will be available Wednesday, Jan 20, 2021, after 12
noon and must be vacated Sunday evening unless arrangements have been made. Stalls are 10 X 10 permanent, wood with dutch doors. Exhibitors
arriving prior or departing later than these specified dates should contact the Barn Manager to make special arrangements and will be required to pay
an additional daily fee per stall. Stall Management reserves the right to refuse a stall or tack room to any exhibitors. People requesting special stall
arrangements for handicapped or disabled must have the Blue State Handicap Card. Card number must be listed with stall request.
ASSIGNMENT OF STALLS - EXHIBITORS WISHING TO BE STABLED TOGETHER MUST SUBMIT THEIR ENTRIES IN THE SAME ENVELOPE.
Assignment of stalls will be made as fairly as possible on the basis of many considerations: Patron/sponsorship participation, time of entry, number of
horses, number of class entries, past participation in the show, show décor, club membership, & overall pattern for optimum barn use are the major
considerations for stabling assignments. We ask your cooperation in these assignments. If you have special requests or considerations, please submit
them with your entry. All requests will be considered but no promises can be made. Be advised: stall requests for horses entered after “close of
entries” or post entered late and request stabling with other horses previously entered, original stall assignments will not be changed to
accommodate the late entry. Management will try to stable late entries AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to other entries but NO GUARANTEES. Show
management’s decision is final. Stalls are 10 X 10 permanent, wood with dutch doors.
STALL DECORATIONS - Stall decorations shall be made of non-flammable or treated material and maintained in flame retardant condition.
SHOWING FROM TRAILERS - Exhibitors MAY show from their trailers. The trailer-in/grounds fee is $35.00 PER HORSE PER DAY.

HORSE SHOW OFFICE HOURS AND REGISTRATION
Horse Show will be open Thursday, Jan 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and thereafter on each day of the show from 1 hour before the first scheduled
class of the day. The office will remain open one half hour after the completion of the last class of the show.
CANCELLATION OF ENTRY
To encourage early entries, the Management agrees to cancel and refund entry, stall and all fees on any horse not fit to show providing written or email
notification nharvey440@aol.com is given to the Show Secretary on or before entry closing date (Jan 5, 2021).
11GENERAL INFORMATION REFUNDS - Horses may be scratched from the show at the owner’s option. Refunds of entry fees will be considered for any horse suffering from illness or injury upon the presentation of a veterinarian’s certificate accompanied with a letter explaining the circumstances to the Show Secretary, PRIOR to the start of said show. Requests for any refunds due to the illness or injury of the exhibitor and accompanied with a letter from the doctor will be considered and will be sub- ject to Management’s decision, if they are received PRIOR to the start of said show. ALL REQUESTS MUST BE IN WRITING, ACCOMPANIED BY A VET- ERINARIANS CERTIFICATE OR DOCTORS LETTER, AND MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE SHOW SECRETARY PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SAID SHOW. On approved refund requests, ONLY class fees will be refunded. NO refunds will be made on stall/tack/groom rooms, drug fees, resolution fees, office fees or any other fees. All refunds granted will be made by mail in approximately 2 weeks after the show. Substitution of horses will be permitted as stated in USEF GR911. SCRATCHING OR CANCELING CLASSES - As a COURTESY to the GATEMAN, ANNOUNCER and SHOW OFFICE, exhibitors are requested to notify the GATEMAN and SHOW OFFICE when it is necessary to scratch or cancel a class entered. This courtesy will enable the Show to run more efficiently. Your consideration will be greatly appreciated. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Questions not covered by USEF Rules shall be decided by the Show Committee and its decision will be final. Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competi- tions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. USEF AMATEUR CERTIFICATION FOR EC AMATEUR MEMBERS - EC amateur members, competing in amateur classes, must complete and sign a USEF membership application verifying they meet USEF amateur requirements. There is no charge. USEF MEMBERSHIP - Affidavits are no longer accepted for payment of non-member fees. Exhibitors must have a Competing Membership, either Life, Senior Active or Junior Active Member or pay a Show Pass Fee. See next paragraph. USEF NON-MEMBER PARTICIPATION - If membership documentation is not submitted to the competition and the competition cannot verify such information, the exhibitor will be required to complete a Show Pass form and pay a non-refundable Show Pass fee of $45.00. (GR1309.2.b) Purchase of a Show Pass fee does NOT allow a competitor to show in amateur classes. To show in an amateur class, a competitor must provide proof of mem- bership with amateur certification. ARENA DIMENSIONS AND FOOTING - The Grandstand (Del Mar) arena is 317’ x 153’; the San Diego arena (nearest to the first turn of the race track) and the Jimmy Durante Arena (to the East of the San Diego arena) are both 250’ x 125’. All arenas have sand, shavings and dirt for footing. In addition the chute for the back stretch furlong is used for warm-up has the same footing as the arenas. BREEDING/IN-HAND CLASSES - IF HELD - IN THE RING CLASS ENTRANCE PROCEDURE will be used for ALL Breeding/In-Hand halter classes and all horses will be judged using the Comparative judging system. CALIFORNIA DRUG FEE – A $5.00 fee per horse (mandatory) will be collected for State of California Drug Testing program. CRUELTY AND ABUSE - USEF GR839 AR105 AND AHA ARTICLE 304.6 WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED AT ALL AHA RECOGNIZED COMPETITIONS. AHA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT EACH COMPETITOR (THIS INCLUDES AT LEAST ONE RECORDED OWNER AND ALL TRAINERS, DRIVERS, RIDERS, HALTER HANDLERS, COACHES AND THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE ENTRY BLANK) IN AN ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED ARABIAN DIVISION, AT THE TIME OF ENTRY INTO A COMPETITION, MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF A VALID AHA MEMBERSHIP/COMPETITION CARD, JOIN AHA OR PAY AN AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP FEE PER COMPETITOR. WHEN AN AGENT SIGNS FOR THE OWNER AT AN AHA RECOGNIZED COMPETITION, BOTH THE OWNER AND AGENT MUST BE MEMBERS OF AHA OR PAY THE AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP. SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT AHA REGIONAL OR NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBITORS IN WALK-TROT CLASSES ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AT QUALIFYING COMPETITIONS, BUT MUST HAVE AN AHA MEMBERSHIP WITH COMPETITION CARD AT AHA REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBITORS IN LEAD LINE CLASSES OR PARENTS/GUARDIANS SIGNING FOR MINORS ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS. (BOD 5/12) 12
GENERAL INFORMATION
AMATEUR OWNER FAMILY DEFINITION - An Amateur Owner Class is one in which every contestant is an Amateur and the rider driver or handler is
the Owner or an Amateur Member of the owner’s family. “Family” includes husband wife parent stepparent child brother stepchild sister half-brother and
sister aunt uncle niece nephew grandmother grandfather and in-laws of the same relation as stated. Combined ownership is NOT permitted in Amateur/
Owner classes unless all owners are members of the same family. LEASED horses are NOT eligible. (See USEF GR136)
DISCIPLINE - Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy to the officials of this show on the part of the owner lessee trainer groom rider or driver
will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The management reserves the right to remove a horse owner lessee trainer groom or rider from the show
without being liable for compensation or damages.
GATE RULE - Due to a full schedule of classes the TWO-MINUTE limit after last call for a class will be strictly enforced. Exhibitors are cautioned against
entering the same horse in successive classes. The gate will close 2 minutes after the first horse enters the ring or in cases with large classes taking
more than 2 minutes at the completion of final horse in the continuous string of horses. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE EXHIBITOR TO BE
SURE THAT HIS/HER HORSE IS AT THE GATE ON TIME. CLASS CALLS MUST BE CONSIDERED A COURTESY ONLY. No protests will be upheld
on the basis of a public address system malfunction. “Open” cards may be run for hunter/jumper classes to assist exhibitors who might have a conflict
with classes in another arena. Check with show manager or in the show office for details.
HALF ARABIAN/ANGLO ARABIAN COLTS/STALLIONS – Half Arabian and Anglo-Arabian stallions registered with AHA or which have been issued
an AHA CPAR (Canadian Part-bred Arabian Register) Permit are permitted to compete in the AHA PERFORMANCE CLASSES for Half-Arabian and
Anglo-Arabian horses. Half Arabian and Anglo-Arabian colts & stallions, two years & older, may compete in Sport Horse In Hand Classes.
HEADGEAR – All juniors riding in Hunter Seat Equitation sections must wear properly fitting protective headgear while riding in the designated
schooling & exercise areas, the show ring and while jumping anywhere on the competition grounds. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. Any
rider violating this rule must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is property in place. Any exhibitor may wear protective
headgear (ASTM/SEA) in any division or class without penalty from the judge.
INDEMNITY AND NON-RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSES - All entries are accepted with the understanding that the Southern California Half Arabian
Association, Region 1 AHA and Los Angeles Equestrian Center not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any horse exhibited or
any article of any kind. All horses shall be under the control and direction of the Show Committee but solely at the risk of the exhibitor, who will be
responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any person, animal or property occasioned by him, his agents or employees, or by an animal owned
or exhibited any, and shall indemnify the Southern California Half Arabian Association, Region 1 AHA and Galloway Downs against any and all loss,
damages and liability thus occasioned, including but not limited to any and all legal costs, including attorney fees, which may be incurred as a result
thereof. The submitting of an entry form to the Show Secretary shall constitute an acceptance by each person signing same of the provisions herein
set forth.
JUDGES - If for any reason a judge fails to attend this show or perform his/her duties, the Show Committee reserves the right to substitute a judge for the
one who is officially designated in the Prize List. It is a violation of USEF Rules to commit any act or make remarks during the show that are considered
offensive and/or made with the intent to influence or cast aspersions on the judging. No one shall approach a judge with regard to a decision or at any
time unless he first obtains permission from the Show Steward who shall arrange an appointment with the judge at a proper time and place.
LOCATION OF CLASSES - Show management reserves the right to hold classes, or portions of classes, on the grounds outside the Main
Arena if it is found necessary to do so, or to change and/or modify the Schedule of Events as necessary to accommodate the entries received.
DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF RAIN - THE SHOW RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER THE SCHEDULE AND LOCATION OF CLASSES DUE TO
INCLEMENT WEATHER - PLEASE CHECK WITH THE SHOW OFFICE FOR LOCATION AND TIMES OF CLASSES.
MAIDEN, NOVICE AND LIMIT CLASSES – Maiden, Novice & Limit classes are open to horses which have not won one/three/six first place ribbons
respectively, at Regular Member Competitions of USEF or CEF in the particular performance division in which they are shown. For these shows, a
Maiden, Novice or Limit Horse/Rider is as of the closing date of entries (Jan 5, 2021).
MOTORIZED VEHICLES
Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be
permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles,
on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motor-
ized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the
entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages,
claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those responsible for the
child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
The unsafe use of personal electronic transport devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion,
that do not require a driver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeled scooters is prohib-
ited on competition grounds. Operating such devices in areas where people gather may be deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm
to others. If the operator of the device is a minor, the parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian
of a minor operating the device in violation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility as-
sistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
13GENERAL INFORMATION
RESOLUTION 9-90 FEE - Every horse competing in these shows must pay $7.00 PER HORSE ONLY ONCE to fund the Education & Evaluation
program for A.H.A. judges & stewards.
RULES - This Horse Show is conducted in accordance with the rules of the US Equestrian Federation (National Equestrian Federation of the United
States), Chapter AR - Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian Division. The official Rule Book of US Equestrian will prevail for this show. This
Prize List is based on rules of the current Rule Book; any changes or corrections of rules will automatically become a part of the Prize List. Each
participant in this show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to the USEF Rules. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COV-
ERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT U.S. EQUESTRIAN RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED
IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. The Show Committee shall decide questions not covered by USEF Rules and its decisions will be final.
USEF / DRUG FEE – For every horse participating in any competition licensed by the Federation (USEF), a $23.00 Federation Fee will be collected
per horse ($15 shall be an Equine Drugs and Medication fee to provide for research, inspection, and enforcement of rules regarding use of medications
and drugs; see GR407.1,.2 and .3) An exhibitor must file an official Equine Drugs and Medications Report Form (in writing) with the Show Steward or
Designated Competition Office Representative within one hour after administration or one hour after the Steward or Designated Competition Office
Representative returns to duty if administration is at a time other than during competition hours. The official Drugs and Medication Report Form is
available from the officiating Show Steward or Designated Competition Office Representative.
VETERINARIAN - A veterinarian will be on call throughout the show. All animals are subject to physical inspection by the Show Veterinarian at the
discretion of the Show Committee. The Show Management reserves the right to refuse entry onto the show grounds to any horse exposed to, or which
may be harboring a communicable disease. No veterinarian other than the official show veterinarian will be permitted to treat, medicate, or attend to
a horse on the grounds. Anyone wishing to use another veterinarian other than the official Show Veterinarian on the grounds must obtain permission
from Show Manager.
FARRIER - The farrier will be available on the show grounds during show hours.

New USEF vaccination rule for show horses - Effective December 1, 2015, all horses entering the grounds of a licensed competition
must have proof of Flu/Rhino vaccination within 6 months of entering the grounds. Read the details at USEF.
Western Dressage Classes Breaking Ties
1. In the event two or more competitors have equal points (a tie), the tie shall be broken pursuant to WD126.6 in the USEF Rule Book except when
after a review of the scores for Collective Marks/General Impressions there remains a tie, the tie must be broken as follows:
a. The competitor with the highest Collective Mark scores by the judge sitting at C shall be declared the winner of the tie; and
b. In the event there remains a tie with the judge’s (sitting at C) Collective Mark scores, the winner of the
tie shall be determined by that judge’s scores as follows:
1. The competitor with the highest free walk score or the highest extended walk score shall be
determined the winner: and
2. In the event there is a tie on the free walk/extended walk score, the competitor with the highest
sum of scores with coefficients greater than one shall be determined the winner; and
3. In the event there is a tie based on the sum or the scores with coefficients greater than one, the
competitor with the first highest Collective Mark score shall be determined the winner. (Start at the top
of the collective mark scores and work down until the tie is broken); and
