Please pray for Ron Enticott as he undergoes further surgery in London this week and for
Emily Payne awaiting surgery for a spinal condition. We continue to pray for June Kinight
and David, Karen Goodlake, Christopher Court, Muriel Haines, Marion and her husband;
Billsy, Jonny and family; the Biss family; and Jackie Churchman’s
father; may they each feel God’s presence by their side and
experience His comfort and healing powers. Prayers also for the
recently bereaved, and all who are lonely, suffering from illness or
mental or physical stress at this time.

You are invited to Compline in the Chancel, every Wednesday evening at
9:15pm. An opportunity to peacefully reflect on your day, in the presence of God.
This is a short service lasting approx. 30 minutes.

Please do sign up today! for a 24-7 prayer slot in The Shack, you’ll be glad you
did! The ‘prayer room’ will open after compline on Wednesday (4th) and run
until midday on Sunday (15th). There will be six interactive prayer stations,
each looking at a different character from the nativity story and using them as
inspiration for prayer. To book a slot click on this link: Tinyurl.com/sp-pray
The memorial chapel will also be available to light a candle, think and pray. Thank
you to Laura for all that she is doing to assist us with developing prayer life at St. Peter’s.

Serving St. Peter's and the community over Christmas!

We are inviting a family from St. Peter's to put up and decorate our Christmas Tree on
Saturday 7th December. Any volunteers? Lights and decorations provided.

We have a large number of visitors to our services during December and the church is often
filled to capacity. We would like a larger team, of people of all ages, to join various rotas
during the busy run-up to Christmas: to prepare the church; light candles; welcome people:
show them to seats. We are particularly looking for help for the carol service on Sunday
evening, 15th December, and on Christmas Eve for the Christingle Services in the afternoon
and Midnight Communion and on Christmas Morning.

We are looking for a small team to serve mulled wine on 15th December after the carol
service and someone to coordinate this group.

If you can help with any of the above please contact either of the churchwardens: Jan or
Dave, their contact details are on the back. Thank you!

The Giant Christmas Card is in the church, please use this to share Christmas greetings
with your church family and give a donation to support the work of TearFund. Thank you to
Helen Strange for once again producing the wonderful card for St. Peter’s.
We have received a letter from Runnymede Foodbank thanking us for our support and
generous donation; they are very appreciative of our continuing support and
encouragement. The Foodbank is one of five organisations that we tithe 10% to each year.

The Church of England has produced some outstanding resources for Advent. The free
‘Follow the Star’ app can be downloaded from the app store. For those that don't
have access to a computer, tablet or mobile phone booklets are available in church.

Thank you to those of you that have recently started to give financially to St. Peter's via Standing
Order. If you are a tax payer please consider giving through 'Gift Aid'. We can then reclaim tax
from the Inland Revenue on the amount you have paid to the church, it’s a 'win-win' situation!!
There are forms available at the back of the church. Please complete and drop in the collection
plate or hand to our treasurer. One-time givers’, if you are a tax-payer please ensure you put your
name and post-code on the envelope, as without this info we are unable to claim ‘gift-aid’.

All welcome to the Bourne Concert Band Christmas Charity Concert, an afternoon of fun and
festive tunes, next Sunday, 8th December at 3pm in the church followed by refreshments in the
hall. Retiring collection for Woking and Sam Beare Hospice.

Addlestone Singers have a Christmas Concert In aid of Shooting Star Children's Hospices on
Monday 9th December at Addlestone Methodist Church. Free entry with a retiring bucket
collection. Doors open 6:30pm for sale of Christmas merchandise, concert 7:30pm

Just a Helping Hand are in need of warm hats, scarves and gloves, matching if possible. If you’re
not a knitter could you provide wool or a financial donation?

Penton Park are looking for a keyboard player, two Sundays a month as their currant
pianist is retiring. If you can help please contact Christine P or Tim.
