preparing for a colon cleanse
How Should You Prepare for a Treatment?
First, lie down and gently begin massaging your belly.
Use an oil such as Castor
. Oil, or other carrier oils and
rub in a clockwise fashion with your eyes looking
down toward your gut. Start at the belly button and
move outward until you cover your entire belly. This
will help relax the colon and digestive muscles.

       What to eat before:
Drink plenty of water with minerals and electrolytes
         (to keep colon hydrated)
Tea (try it now: Gas and Bloat by Gaia Herbs)
Consider taking a laxative the night before (or
          (Magnesium Citrate)
Millet, Oats, Red or Black GABA Rice
What to eat after (without overeating):
         Aloe (try this: Stockton Aloe)
Thick creamy soups (i.e. Butternut Squash, Carrot
         Cauliflower, Cauliflower Dill)
Porridge with Millet, Oats, Red or Black GABA Rice
         Body Ecology Ancient Earth Minerals

Tips for Drinking Tea Before a Cleanse:
Drinking teas such as slippery elm bark prior to
          enemas can be soothing.
For a relaxing treat, try sipping on some calming,
antispasmodic teas prior to the colonic or enema as
well. Save 4-8 ounces for the implant.

TYPES OF COLON TREATMENTS
             COFFEE ENEMAS

Here are some of the benefits:
          Removes toxins
          Helps promote weight loss
          Relieves constipation and digestive issues
Boosts overall mood and improves energy
          Improves various chronic disorders
          Flushes kidneys and gallstones
          Combats parasites and yeasts

In addition to the effects above, coffee enemas can help
with preparing the body for a bowel endoscopy and as part
of Gerson therapy, which is used to treat patients with
        cancer and other serious illnesses.

Expert tip: Use only a Certified Organic and Mold Free
Coffee, such as S.A. Wilson’s Organic coffee.

        NUTRITIONAL IMPLANTS

Implants are a beneficial remedy to use after cleaning the
colon. These implants can contain minerals, vitamin C, or
even a tablespoon of nutritional oil like olive oil, organic
coconut oil, or ghee. Probiotic implants are also beneficial
to promote a healthy, balanced digestive system. A cup
of young coconut kefir makes an excellent implant, for
         example.

SALTWATER FLUSHES

How to perform an at-home saltwater flush:
1. To prepare, mix 2 teaspoons of Celtic Sea Salt with 4
cups of warm water in a glass jar.
2. Add fresh lemon juice to the mixture and shake well until
   all granules are gone.
3. Drink the formula quickly and lay down on your side.
4. Massage your belly in a circular motion, then roll over
and do the same on the other side.
5. When you feel the urge to go to the restroom, do so
   (usually several times).
6. Follow up with electrolytes and probiotic liquids
(i.e. Probiotic Protein Shake, Ancient Earth Minerals).

Additional tips for implants and flushes:
Slowly raise your behind in the air for 30 to 60 seconds to
allow the contents of the implant to settle in the lower part
of your colon, while gas rises to the highest point (this is
helpful for those who have an intestinal loop that tends to
catch gas pockets).

      Using the Right Ingredients
Remember, when dealing with herbs, each herb may
produce several health benefits for the body as a
whole. Some herbs such as licorice root and slippery
elm should be fairly diluted, so it’s recommended to
start with small amounts when beginning. Check with
your practitioner about introducing newer substances,
such as CBD oils and other products.

      Temperature (yes, it does matter!)
Combine warm water with the herbs to aid in
relaxation if your bowels are irritated. Otherwise, it is
advised to keep the water at a neutral temperature.
Cooler water can be helpful for those whose bowels
are flaccid. When using dried licorice root with your
implant solution, mix with warm water and shake the
bottle to release saponins. This also helps reduce the
      surface tension of gas bubbles.

      Benefits of Mineral Additives
Adding ingredients like coconut charcoal will bind
gas from methanogens (archea), undigested food
        and ammonia from undigested protein.
Infusing water with cleansing ingredients like coconut
water kefir, apple cider vinegar or lemon juice can be
        helpful with flushing out toxins.
Special enema coffee (such as organic or SA Wilsons)
and Dandelion Root tea can also be used in enemas
to help cleanse the liver and gallbladder.
Minerals additives, such as Quinton Minerals and
electrolytes like Seeking Health, Apex Energetics and
others as can be added to the Implant.
If the goal is to tone and tighten the bowel
membranes to help with movement, consider using
        more astringent herbs.

   Choosing the Right Herbs
Remember, when dealing with herbs, each herb may produce
several health benefits for the body as a whole. Check with your
practitioner about introducing newer substances, such as CBD
   oils and other products.

Tinctures usually have a 1-to-3 ratio of herbs to water (with
alcohol boiled off), but for enemas, the balance should be equal
parts herbs and liquid to make the solution stronger (1 teaspoon
is often used in the enema bucket, plus 3 cups of water).

The best herbs are fresh, so grow your own if possible!
