Hello Lancers!
The Lakewood High School Alumni Association (LHSAA) is ready to keep you in the
“loop” on the LHS Alumni activities happening this Summer! Each event below has been
given a dedicated page so you can easily print the “flyer” of what you need. If there are
errors or updates, please contact us at TheLancerLoop@gmail.com.
The Lancer Loop Newsletter: This publication is our traditional newsletter we email
to our alumni email periodically throughout the year. It contains event information on
reunions, gatherings, and of course, the Annual All-Alumni Picnic. Please feel free to
forward this Newsletter to anyone who may be interested.
To SUBSCRIBE to the Lancer Loop Newsletter, send an email request to our
webmaster at this address: alumni-on@lakewoodalum.org and copy to
TheLancerLoop@gmail.com . Include your full name (including maiden name), the year
you graduated, your home address, and phone number. The subject line of your email
should be labeled “SUBSCRIBE”. All information is kept private and is used exclusively
to periodically disperse the information you’ll need to stay up-to-date with alumni news.

Lakewood Lancer Loop - Annual Picnic and Reunions (LHSAA Facebook Group)
Many activities for the entire weekend (including the reunions) are posted as EVENTS
and provide links and information to get in touch with your class. This group will be
handy when we want to have easy access to all activities “on-the-go” (using your Smart

WE HAVE A PERMIT!
THE PICNIC: Our Special Events Package has been
APPROVED by the City of Lakewood Although it is a “scaled-
back” version of the event we typically have, It’s HAPPENING!
Thank you, Maury Jessner, for jumping through all those hoops
with the County!
THE GOLF TOURNAMENT: is SOLD OUT… and is the
biggest one to date! Kudos to the organizer Suzanne Agee!

This in not an official LHSAA event, but if you’re in town for picnic weekend, you
may want to attend the Lakewood community's extremely popular summer concert
series. Concert starts at 6:30 pm. Dinner and refreshments will be sold, or attendees
may bring their own picnic basket. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. Pets,
barbecues and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

holding a “Mini-Reunion”! That is awesome… have a blast visiting with
your classmates, whether it be at your home, restaurant, local park, or
via ZOOM.
Please note that the promotion of your event is your responsibility this
year and the information will not be included on our Lancer Loop

Since the 45th reunion of the Class of 1975 was cancelled in 2020, there
are classmates who are working behind the scenes to get everyone
together this year.

All-Alumni Picnic

About the Picnic: This is an annual celebration for all LHS alumni classes
(1958 – current) which is always held on the 2nd Sunday in July at Del Valle Park.
The 2021 Picnic: WE HAVE A PERMIT! A few of our events are scaled
back (see below under Modified Activities). Keep watching the Facebook Group to
get the latest information. Spread this info to your classmates.
Attendance: Alumni, current students, family members, and friends are all
encouraged to attend the annual picnic. It’s a fun and casual time to reunite and
reminisce with alumni from every graduating class of Lakewood High!
Food: Pack your own lunch. We will not have snacks for sale by the booster clubs
or food trucks this year.
Designate your area: Feel free to make a sign to designate an area for your
class/club. Because comfort levels are very personal, please respect your fellow
classmates by bringing a mask and practicing social distancing at the gathering.
Modified Activities: This year, we will NOT have a car show, food trucks,
merchandize booths, or cheerleaders. We will be displaying the Memory Lane and
the Fallen Lancer displays in the Youth Center. Masks required.

deductible. There will be a bucket on the registration table for your donations,
which help fund future picnics, the Memory Lane revamp project, and other
philanthropic endeavors that benefit Lakewood High School. If you would like to
