www.readinghalfmarathon.comThis year marks the 36th Sage Reading Half Marathon and a new and exciting chapter as new organisers Goldline
Events take to the helm. With the aim of making the race even bigger and better, we promise to not only continue the
great work Sweatshop has done over the past 15 years but to enhance each and every runner’s experience.
I know you have a lot of choice, there are some great races out there, so I’d like to thank you for choosing to run with
us. We are very proud that the event is renowned for being one of the best races in the running calendar and we want
to ensure this continues so you have the best day possible. Whether this is your first half marathon, you’re a seasoned
runner or this is part of your training for a spring marathon, I hope you enjoy all the highlights including the huge
crowd support and of course the roar as you enter the Stadium and cross the finish line.
Best of luck and have a great race.

2HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE SAGE READING HALF MARATHON
On behalf of Sage colleagues, customers and partners around the UK, we’re so happy you’re here with us. At Sage,
we love running and raising money for fantastic local charities who do so much for our communities. And we have
nothing but admiration for people like you who are taking on a personal challenge today – whether it’s your first run,
or you’re going for a PB – it all counts.
I am especially proud that the Sage Reading Half Marathon is the final stop on Sage Foundation’s $1 Million Challenge.
That’s our pledge at Sage to reach our fundraising goal by running, getting active and having fun, so we can help build
a brighter future for our communities around the world – and we are not going to stop until it’s achieved.
So far we’ve raised over $900,000 and are hoping to reach our $1 Million target at this year’s Reading Half Marathon.
Reading is home to Sage People and we’re thrilled that charities right here will benefit from Team Sage running today.
So, remember - we are in this together today, let’s all make it count.

9CHARITY PARTNERS
We encourage all runners to support one of the truly inspiring charities involved in this year’s event.
Each year they help a variety of great causes and 2019 has been no different! Our objective is to transform
the amount raised through the Sage Reading Half Marathon event for charities and to support them.
We are proud to support and work with our partner and local charities.
HEADLINE CHARITY PARTNER
Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK is the only charity fighting over 200 types of cancer and
our life-saving research will bring forward the day where all cancers are cured.
The generosity of our supporters has enabled the charity to lead the way in
discovering and developing newer, kinder treatments and cures.
Every step towards curing cancer relies on every pound, every hour and every person. Without the support of our
volunteers, supporters and every single one of our runners, our scientists would not be able to do their work in the
lab. We’re all working together to save more lives by preventing, controlling and curing all cancers.
