Community Engagement: Billie Dragoo and
Chelsea Anderson on Inside INdiana Business
Starting November 3, 2021 at 8 A.M. ET, the Indiana Conference for Women, the largest one-day professional
development conference in the Midwest, will be hosted at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The event
was founded by Billie Dragoo and Deborah Collins Stevens in 2010 with a vision to create a practical, inspiring,
educational resource for women in Indiana and the Midwest. Over the years, the conference has had a variety of
key-note speakers including Rachel Ray, Diane Keaton, and Retta. This year, the conference will be a combination of
in-person and online events with keynote speakers Taraji P. Henson, Jameela Jamil, and Betsy Johnson.

On Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick, Billie Dragoo and Chelsea Anderson gave a preview of what to expect at
the conference and its importance for women in the workforce. When asked about the Indiana Conference for
Women's background, Dragoo explained - "In the beginning, Debrah Collins Stevens and I wanted to build strategic
focus, leadership, and an economic division for women in our state." Anderson then went into detail about who the
keynote speakers are and what they can bring to the conversation. After years of growth, the conference has been
able to provide women with an ecosystem that helps build professional relationships and rewarding careers.
