                                                        SERVICES
ensure that the submitted scheme respected
the urban and linear context of one of the main Planning
routes into the city centre from north Leeds,
and the more sensitive context of low terraced
housing, a conservation area and listed
buildings to the rear of the site.
The site sits in a key location with considerable
visual sensitivity, as well as sitting in the zone of
sensitivity for wide ranging views of the iconic
“Parkinson Building” and several prominent
church spires. The scheme achieved a
successful balance between maximising the
need to provide more purpose built student
accommodation and a sensitive visual
context. The site opened for postgraduate
students in September 2018.
