Initiative of Kedarnath valley
for reconstruction of
Kedarnath valley
P atanjali Yogpeeth took initiative for the
reconstruction of Kedarnath and welfare of
the people living in the area. A day before Diwali
(November 22), Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish
Rawat called Swami ji on phone and sought his
association for reconstruction of Kedarnath temple
and the surrunding areas. Besides he also requested

understand the problem. Later Swamiji and Acharyaji
visited there and performed yagna for the peace of the
*!23"/'-/"'+" ,-" ,-".!!/"%+/")!$-/" !"0-4!+* 024 "
the area.
Addressing media at Patanjali Yogpeeth, respected
Swamiji appealed all parties rise above political
differences and work for the reconstruction.
Patanjali Yogpeeth promised to make all necessary
contribution for this purpose.
Swamiji said that if the Congress Governments of
different states performed well, he will stand with
them. He said that to serve the people, both the Centre
and State should work together for the betterment of
the country. He said that as a saint he played his role
in the political arena too as a part of his responsibility
towards the nation and even in future, Patanjali will
continue to make it contribution in the time of need.
He said that his institution has given health, education
and political education to the people of the country.
Now the rest of the responsibility lies with the people
and they have to decide.
He added that talks on party-politics is right till the
time of election. After the election, it is the duty
of the people to rise above it for the welfare of the

country. The way Modi ji is the Prime Minister of
the country, the same way Harish Rawat is the Chief
Minister of Uttarakhand and the Prime Minister, the
Chief Minister and we all are together over the issue
of our ancient heritage.
He vowed to make Uttarakhand free from calamity
and said that Harish ji extended his hands all of us
came together to move for 100 km. We will move
even further in this mission, he added.
While talking over the issue of tourism in Uttarakhad,
he said that the State has huge potential for tourism
for religious purposes, health and natural beauty. He
said that it is the time for both the centre and the
state to move together in this direction.
Patanjali has been already
active in Kedarnath
It is to be noted that Bharat Swabhiman had since
beginning of the natural disaster been running
its drive for relief and rehabilitation of the people
under the guidance of Acharya Balkrishna ji. In this
Himalayan tsunami, when even government’s staffers
could not reach to the region above Guptakashi,
Patanjali’s workers spotted 40 villages and provided
immediate relief to them.
They set up Patanjali Sevashram to help hundreds of
innocent kids and women of the priest of Kedarnath
who had been serving the devotees for generations.
Patanjali’s workers used moles to help them. Swamiji
and Acharya ji have been takinng care of them as
a guardian. The orphaned kids have been getting
education at Patanjali Sevashram and Narayan Koti
with the help of Yogpeeth.
One bus and two vans have been engaged to carry
the kids from their place of living to the school.

getting higher secondary education at an institute
located at 7 km away from there.
Their routine is very unique. They begin their day
with chanting of Vedic mantras, yagna, yoga and
exercises. Everyday after the school, all the kids go to
computer lab for learning computer. Arrangements
for volleyball, tennis, yoga and football have also been
made for good health and mind. All these students

well in several competition.
The women and girls who have faced the calamity
are being trained in stitching in sewing by Patanjali
sansthan so that their life could be brought back on
the track. It is a mission to make them self dependent.
Through labour contribution, to lift the living
standard of the victims, they are being trained into
agricultural activities and they are learning various
techniques for this purpose.
Message of Pollution free Diwali
from Acharyakulam:
Where more than thousand kids are living, it will be
impossible there to not to let them play with crackers
on Diwali. But kids of Acharyakulm with their spiritual
guardians Acharya ji and Swami ji celebrated Diwali in
the ambiance of yagna and this way they presented a
great example of pollution free Diwali.
Swami ji also appealed to the kids to celebrate Diwali
the same way in future too with peace and harmony. At
the Yagyashala (the place where yagna is performed)
, Swami ji, along with all the students held Sharadiya
Navasasyeshti Yagna on the occasion. In the peaceful
and pollution free ambience, the sages-duo wished
all the country men a happy Diwali. Small kids also
participated there to hold the festivity. The entire
ambience was looking awesome.

Macaulay’s system of education
Patanjali Yogpeeth will start 500 Acharyakulam
Vidyalays (School) where besides of the students
their parents too will get weekly Vedic education.
With this resolve, two yoga camps - Advance Yoga
and Meditation Camp, each of three days between
November 1 and November 3 and November 7 and
November 9 were held. These who attended the
camp, vowed to hold similar camps in all the villages
to prepare a ground for Patanjali’s Gyan Kranti and
associate at least 20 families in each of the villages

Himachal, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh,
Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand participated.
Similar number of participants attend the second
camp from Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. At the yoga
camps organised by Patanjali Yogapeeth, it was

of life and resolve the problems of their day to day life.
Patanjali’s efforts at National
Institute of Mumbai
On October 31, visually challenged students of National
Institute of Mumbai visited Patanjali Yogpeeth with
their mentor Dr Shankar ji and discussed various issues
with Swamiji. During interaction between the whole
ambience turned to be full of emotion. Swami ji guided

life without getting depressed and dejected.
On behalf of Patanjali Yogpeeth, a yoga teacher and
a Vanprasthi were appointed for the institute. Their
duty will be to teach the students yoga and Pranayam

problems of life.

Patanjali Yogpeeth’s Sanskrit
speech camp
Haridwar, November 8: 10-day Sanskrit speech
camp of Patanjali Yogpeeth was held in a happy and
harmonious ambience. On this occasion, Swamiji had

the camp and encouraged them to work for the well
being of their nation. The success of the camp was
evident from the way students presented group song
in Sanskrit and interacted with each other in Sanskrit.
Successful students were rewarded. As many as 83
students participated in the camp.
Minister for Social Justice visited

Haridwar, November 11: Sri Vijay Sapla, Minister
for Social Justice visited Patanjali Yogpeeth and met
specially with Swami ji and Acharya Balkrishna ji. He
praised the activities of the institute and it work in

Haridwar, November 10: Punjab’s famous saint
Sukhdev ji from Terarumi Wala, Puchchhokala
Bathinda visited the main institutes of Patanjali
Yopeeth. During his meeting with Swami ji and
Acharyha ji he discussed various issues concerning to
social and national building. He was impressed with
the way the institute was spreading the message of
yoga, Ayurveda and great Indian culture and praised
them a lot.
He also met with Acharyakulam students and learnt
about the system of education there. n
