Seniors Week was celebrated at Felician Village the week of May 9th. I’d
like to thank the staff planning these events for their creativity and ability
to keep everyone safe while still celebrating and acknowledging our
residents and staff. Certainly our Felician value of ‘transformation’
is seen time and time again as we shift and adjust these events during
          this pandemic.
Visitation has been going well and both families and residents are
enjoying the ability to visit together in person again. As a reminder,
visitation guidelines can be found on the home page of our web site,
          www.felicianvillage.org.
Finally, a shout out to our veterans and current members of our military
as we honor you on Memorial Day, May 31. Thank you for your service,

Felician Award Winner Named
On Thursday, April 29, Connie Thimmig, Felician Village Director of
Enrichment Services, named Judith Wetenkamp as the 2021 recipient of the
Felician Award for Excellence in Volunteer Service at Felician Village. This
award honored an individual whose volunteer actions have made a significant
impact on the residents/operations of Felician Village. The recipient of this
award exemplifies the core values of Felician Village by living out the healing
ministry of Jesus and providing compassionate care that respects the dignity of
each person served. The award was presented at the 2021 Volunteer
Appreciation Drive Thru event.
Judith's nomination said, "Judith began service at Felician Village early in 2019
by helping transport residents to and from chapel. In the summer of 2019, she
transitioned her volunteer time to The Gardens library. She has always had a
passion for books and reading, so tending to the library was a natural fit. In
2020, the library underwent a large overhaul due to The Gardens refresh
project. In preparation for painting and new carpeting, each book, DVD and
other library items needed to be removed. This volunteer guided the project, The 2021 Felician Award for Excellence in
