Insurance coverage
The insurance coverage is divided into two different parts in Scandinavia; a compulsory and
collision insurance.

The compulsory insurance covers all the damages or accidents to the third party caused by you.
The second one is the collision insurance, which covers damages to your own rental vehicle
caused by an accident.
Collision insurance covers damages to the vehicle due to an accident, fire or theft. The
insurance is NOT valid if the vehicle is being used under the influence of alcohol or illegal
drugs, or if damage is caused due to reckless behavior.

The collision insurance does not cover any interior damages that are not caused by a traffic
accident.

All Touring Cars rentals include a TCBasic insurance with corresponding deductible. In case
of an accident caused to the rental vehicle, the client needs to pay maximum the deductible
per damage, per accident, per lost items or per punitive sanctions (please see the returning
policy). The collision insurance covers the part of the monetary loss, which exceeds deductible
value per damage. Insurance deductible does not cover interior damages which are not
caused by traffic accident.

The minimum reduction period for lowering deductible is 7 rental days or equivalent monetary
payment (10 days in TCTotal). All additional drivers need to be named for the insurance for
it to be valid. If a non-designated driver drives the rental vehicle TCBasic insurance terms
and conditions apply with corresponding deductible value per damage. All other rental and
insurance conditions remain the same.

Vehicle insurances are valid only in Nordic countries, vehicle cannot be taken abroad without
a special agreement with Touring Cars.

Client will be given details of the current defects on the damage form. Client is responsible to
discover the damages prior of signing the document. Client is liable for all new damages found on
the vehicle upon the end of client’s rental period. All new damages, which were not marked on the
agreement upon pick-up, will be charged from client. This notice is given for clients’ protection.

the administrative fee is presented on the office price list. Renter authorizes the Rental Company to

the car caused by filling the tank with or use of incorrect quality fuel. If the Renter returns the car
with a partially filled tank, the Rental Company has the right to charge for the missing fuel and the
potential filling-up fee at the price indicated in the rental agreement or price list.

4. THE RENTER’S LIABILITY FOR THE CAR AND ITS ACCESSORIES DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD, OWN
RISKS
The Renter is obligated to indemnify the Rental Company for any damage to and loss of the car and
its accessories during the rental period and, as out-of-service indemnification, to pay the rent
according to the agree¬ment for the duration of the repair of the car for a maximum of thirty (30)
days. However, the Renter’s liability is restricted to the basic own risk share specified in the rental
agreement. The basic own risk is charged separately for each instance of damage or loss. The basic
own risk may be reduced or, in some cases, completely eliminated by an additional charge separately
agreed on in the rental agreement. The Renter is obligated to indemnify the Rental Company for
damage in full, without any own risk restriction, if the damage was caused or incurred in some of the
following ways: excessive loading, smoking in the car, damage to the car’s upholstery, driving with
over- or under-pressured tires, loss of keys, use of incorrect quality fuel, sandstorm damages, snow
damage if indicated by signs, driving through too narrow premises considering the size of the car,
driving on roads or in areas in poor condition or other negligent or incorrect use of the car. In
addition, it is strictly forbidden to drive the vehicle when the wind speed exceeds 15 meters per
second. Furthermore the Renter is responsible to check weather conditions and forecast on daily
basis. The renter agrees that he/she has received all needed information on how
to check the weather conditions at any time. If the Renter breaks this condition and the rental
vehicle is damaged in these conditions, insurance coverage is NOT valid on the rental vehicle. Any
wind warnings from Touring Cars does not limit the renter’s liability. The Renter’s full indemnification
liability always
concerns damage that is directly or indirectly due to the Renter’s criminal conduct, use of the car
under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances or other breach of the terms and
conditions of the agreement occurring intentionally or through gross negligence. The Renter is
obligated to indemnify the
Rental Company for cleaning costs due to any unusual fouling of the car. The Renter is released from
his or her liability towards the Rental Company with regard to own risk, as well if the Rental Company
receives full indemnification from a potential third party that caused the damage or his or her
insurance company.

5. PROCEDURE IN CASES OF DAMAGE TO OR FAILURE OF THE CAR
The Renter shall immediately inform the Rental Company of any faults in or damage to the car during
the rental period. Damages that happen inside the vehicle are not applicable to deductible levels. If
Renter has purchased the optional Windshield and Tire protection, Rental Company will not hold
Renter responsible for loss or damage to the tire or windshield damage of the vehicle. Windshield
and Tire coverage gives protection for one windshield or tire damage. For second or more damages,
the costs are according to normal prices. Any offences involving the car, traffic accidents and
personal injury or animal damage shall always also be notified to the police. In a damage situation,
the Renter shall always fill in a written damage report and submit it to the Rental Company. The
Renter shall be obligated to pay full compensation for the damage, if the renter fails to fill out a
written damage report. The Renter is fully liable for any damage resulting from the neglect of the
aforementioned reports. The Rental Company is liable for a technical fault appearing in the car
during the rental period which is not due to the Renter’s operational fault and/or negligence.
Provided that the defect or fault is within the liability of the Rental Company, it is necessary
for continued driving and permission for repair has been granted by the Rental Company, the Renter
is entitled to a full refund of the repair costs paid for the external repair shop for this particular
defect or fault. A receipt for the repair work and the payment made shall be submitted to the Rental
Company. In 44 the event of the vehicle being in breakdown repair for 24 hours or more, through no
fault of the Renter, the Rental Company’s responsibility to Renter is limited to a refund of a daily rate
or portion thereof. Renter is required to take rental vehicle to the closest repair location stated by
the Rental Company. Daily refund will be issued only for the days that a vehicle is broken down due
to no fault of a Renter. The insurance policy and its deductibles are subject to traffic accidents and
damages on the vehicle, reimbursable by traffic insurance only. No policy is applicable to damages
caused by improper use of the vehicle.

6. PAYMENT OF RENT
Unless another payment method has been agreed on, the Renter pays the rent according to the
agreement with its possible additional charges with his or her payment card. Already when entering
into the rental agreement, the Renter approves the final calculation prepared for the rental in
advance without signing it personally. In connection with the rental, the Rental Company has the
right to make an advance confirmation for the Renter’s payment card for the amount corresponding
to the estimated final rent and potential other charges, by means of which the Rental Company
ensures that the Renter’s payment card account has sufficient balance and that the payment card is
valid. It is explicitly stated that, when there are grounds
for this, the Rental Company has the right to charge from the Renter’s credit card, specified in the
rental agreement, additional charges for the following, in addition to the rent according to the
agreement: the basic own risk according to the agreement, fuel charges, rents and charges for the
extension of the rental period, car delivery and pick-up charges, as well as parking tickets, charges of
private parking control, on-the-spot fines, fines, road tolls, congestion taxes and overload penalty
fees caused by the use of the car during the rental period, and other comparable charges with their
administrative costs. If the legal person specified in the agreement as the Renter is not willing or able
to pay the rent, the person signing the agreement on behalf of this Renter is personally liable for the
rent and the potential additional charges according to these terms and conditions related to the
rental. In addition, when it considers it necessary, the Rental Company has the right to demand two
(2) credit cards from the Renter as collateral for the charges arising from the rental.

7. THE RENTAL COMPANY’S LIABILITY FOR A DEFECT IN THE CAR AND DELAY
If a technical fault or other defect appears in the car during the rental period for which the Renter is
not liable, according to the terms and conditions of rental, the Renter may demand that the Rental
Company repairs the defect or a reduction in price corresponding to the defect. Rental Company
reserves 24 hours’ time to fix the defect and claims to compensation by the Renter can be declined, if
Rental Company fixed the defect within 24 hours since it received information about it. If the Rental
Company is unable to hand over the rented car to the Renter’s use according to the terms and
conditions of the rental agreement, the Renter has the right to receive indemnification for any
reasonable direct costs incurred by the Renter for the delay. Any claims to compensation on the basis
of defect for which the Rental Company is not responsible, or which has not been informed to Rental
Company before clos¬ing the rental agreement are hereby excluded. Any defects in the vehicle, its
equipment or rented items which are discovered after the vehicle hand-over must be reported to the
Rental Company as soon as they are discovered. Rental Company reserves right to decline any
compensation request, if the Renter fails to notify the Rental Company about any defects prior to the
agreed return date of the vehicle.

8. RETURN OF THE CAR UPON EXPIRATION OF THE AGREED RENTAL PERIOD
The Renter shall return the car with all its accessories to the agreed place upon expiration of the
agreed rental period. Return times cannot be changed during the rental without approval from the
Rental Company. The agreed rental period expires when the car with its keys has been returned to
the Rental Company or when the Rental Company has received a notification from the Renter stating
that the car has been returned to a place approved by the Rental Company. If the car has not been
returned in this manner and no continuation of the rental period has been verifiably agreed, the
Rental Company may inform the police of the matter. The Rental Company has the right to charge
full rent from the Renter for the duration of any delay in returning and indemnification for any
additional work caused to the Rental Company and other economic losses related to the matter.
Unless otherwise agreed, the car must be returned with a full tank of fuel. The Rental Company is not
responsible for any property left in the car by the Renter at the time of return.

9. POST RENTAL CHECK-UP
The Renter commits to a post-rental check-up, in case the motorhome is not returned according to
the drop-off time agreed upon in the rental agreement, or if a post-rental check-up has been
separately agreed upon with the Rental Company. If a post-rental check-up is performed, the Renter
gives the Rental Company the right to charge from their credit card: all damages caused to the
vehicle during the rental period, fuel surcharges, all missing items or equipment. The Renter agrees
to these being charged, without being present to confirm these charges. In the case of a charge, the
Rental Company will electronically deliver all related documents of the charge to the Renter. If the
credit card cannot be charged for the accrued charge, this does not absolve the Renter from the
obligation to pay said charge. A post-rental check-up is also used in the case of a one-way rental to a
location that does not have a permanent Touring Cars rental station. The Renter’s responsibility for
the vehicle remains during the post-rental check-up until the rental station has checked and
confirmed the returned state of the vehicle with the Renter.

10. RETURN OF THE CAR BEFORE THE EXPIRATION OF THE AGREED RENTAL PERIOD
If the Renter returns the car before the expiration of the agreed rental period, the rent is determined
according to the used rental period on the pricing criteria according to the agreement. If the car has
been rented on special terms, premature return of the car may lead to a change in the type of price
list and thereby a change in the daily rent. In the case of prepaid rentals, premature return of the car
does not obligate the Rental Company to return the rent paid in advance to the Renter.

11. CANCELLATION OF THE AGREEMENT
The Rental Company has the right to cancel the agreement with immediate effect if it appears that
the Renter materially breaches the terms and conditions of the agreement. In this case, the Renter is
obligated to return immediately the car with all its accessories to the agreed place of return. Either
party may cancel the agreement if the car is stolen or a fault preventing the use of the car for which
the Rental Company is liable is developed in the car and the Rental Company does not deliver a
substitute car within a reasonable period from the notification.

12. DISPUTES CONCERNING THE RENTAL AGREEMENT
Any disputes concerning the rental agreement are primarily resolved through negotiations. If the
dispute is submitted to a court for a decision, the matter is resolved by the district court for the
domicile of the Rental Company or, in consumer dispute cases, by another statutory court of first
instance.

13. ELECTRONIC TRACKING
All rental vehicles are equipped with electronic tracking devices.
14. PERSONAL DATA OF THE RENTER AND DRIVERS
Rental Company collects personal data that you voluntarily provide. Renter and all drivers agree to
Rental
Company storing personal data. Rental Company will not pass this information onto any other
companies outside Touring Cars rental chain other than insurer of the Rental Company and
authorities responsible for any traffic, parking, road or other offences.
