Venue hire (wedding venue and chapel):
70 – 90 guests: R20 000.00 // 91 – 120 guests: R25 000.00 //
121-200 guests: R30 000.00
DECK WEDDINGS BY THE RESTAURANT AREA: R10 000.00 (MAX 69)
A deposit of 50% venue hire is payable to confirm your booking. This deposit will be used for part payment of your
final account AND will be confirmation that you accept and is legally bind by this contract. In the event that a function
is cancelled the deposit in NON-REFUNDABLE no matter the time period before the date of the function.
If a date is provisionally booked, we will only keep the date for 14 days. To confirm the date, the deposit must be paid
within those 14 days. If the deposit is not paid before the end of the period, we will cancel the booking automatically
and the date will be given to the next client.
The breakage deposit of R10 000.00 with your outstanding account 14 days prior to the wedding and will be kept as
security till after the function and will be paid back within 7 working days.
Please provide us with the names of guests sleeping at the accommodation 14 days prior wedding date.
A venue fee of R1500.00 per hour will be charged after 24:00 pm. This will automatically be added to your account at
the end of the function. (The venue and bar will close “strictly” at 2:00 am)
BALANCE OF THE FINAL ACCOUNT MUST BE PAID 14 DAYS PRIOR WEDDING DATE – late payment fees
will be added (20% of menu price)
Catering:
We do have our own catering service (Casa Cara Catering) – please see the attached menu
All Catering done by Casa Cara – NO OUTSIDE CATERING ALLOWED
Left over food may NOT be taken after buffet has closed
Pre-reception drinks and snacks:
It is recommended that you serve pre-reception drinks and snacks to the guests after the ceremony whilst the
photo session is taking place.
One alcoholic option and one non-alcoholic option is recommended. Drinks are served at the venue.
Bar will be open on request.
Please discuss any special requests with us.
YOU MAY NOT BRING YOUR OWN RECEPTION DRINKS OF ANY KIND – penalty fee will be charged
Bar Services:
If you like to bring your own Wine or Sparkling wine: Corkage fee of R50.00 per bottleNo beverages of any kind for your wedding may be brought onto the premises without consent from
management.
Extra waiters can be arranged for an additional R350.00 per waiter for the evening (start of ceremony until
11:00pm)
Setup and Cut Off times:
We will do table set-up of the standard furniture, cutlery and crockery that is included in the
standard package.
Please note that we are NOT wedding planners – if you would like us to coordinate your special
day, on day of wedding only - it is an additional R2500.00 extra.
Décor, flowers etc. must be done the day before the wedding (cut off time 17:00)
THE RECEPTION AND CEREMONY AREA WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER 18:00
– please note that we don’t have staff available to help you (we can arrange extra
staff for R150.00 per day per staff member that will be added to your final account). The
wedding reception area and outdoor area will be ready in time for your wedding. Anyone
making alternative arrangements must ensure that these are documented on the function sheet
at the final appointment.
All candles, décor items, etc. hired elsewhere and flowers must be removed from the property
day after the function. We don’t take any responsibility for the above.
Furniture and Equipment:
The provision of our standard furniture and equipment is at no extra charge.
Any additional items should be supplied or hired by die client at the client’s cost.
No fireworks or lanterns with an open flame will be allowed on the property.
No house pets will be allowed on the property.
No permanent alterations are allowed, this also include nails or hooks in the walls, roofs or
frames. Any damage to the property including linin, beyond reasonable wear and tear will be
charged accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE: CONFETTI MUST BE ECO-FRIENDLY
Risks / Loss / Damages
1. We will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of any property, or any property
whatsoever, although we endeavour to ensure the safeguarding of belongings and persons.
2. Should any damages occur to the buildings, outside area or décor of us during the wedding
function the client shall be held responsible and billed accordingly.
3. Employees will not be held liable for any loss or injury
4. We will not be liable for injuries to children that move around without supervision.
5. We will not be held liable for interruptions to services that we cannot control for (e.g. water,
electricity or sanitary services). For your peace of mind, we do have standby generator.
6. We will not be held liable for your expenses other to Casa Cara expenses if something happens
to the Venue that may lead to no-trading on your wedding day (e.g. Fire). We will only pay
back your money that you already paid to us.Wedding Menu’s

*Ingredients may very*DIRECTIONS TO CASA CARA LODGE from Johannesburg: Coming into Parys from Johannesburg you will be travelling on the R59 Provincial Road. When you see the Parys Airfield on your left, you can start slowing down and indicate that you're going to turn right. 500 meters after the airfield turn right onto the Vaal Eden Road. This becomes a dirt road and roughly 300 meters further there is a turnoff to the left. Take the left turn and follow this dirt road for roughly 3.6 kilometres. The Casa Cara entrance will be on your left. from Parys: Travelling from Parys to Johannesburg you will be travelling on the R59 Provincial Road. Approximately 2.5 kilometres outside Parys turn left onto the Vaal Eden Road. This becomes a dirt road and roughly 300 meters further there is a turnoff to the left. Take the left turn and follow this dirt road for roughly 3.6 kilometres. The Casa Cara entrance will be on your left.
