Booking Information
Welcome to Wellies and Wristbands, a festival-style event for Guides, Rangers and their leaders. The
event will take place over August Bank Holiday weekend, from Friday 27 to Monday 30 August 2021, at
Foxlease and Waddow Hall. Leaders do not require a licence to bring girls to this event but it is a
great opportunity to gain experience for or begin working towards the Going Away With Licence. For
more information, speak to your local Commissioner about the Going Away With Scheme. Standard
Girlguiding ratios should be maintained during Wellies and Wristbands.
In this pack you will find all the initial information you require to make a booking for the event.
Wellies and Wristbands costs £139 per person for leaders and girls (or £125 for early bird tickets
booked by the end of February 2021). Ticket price includes campsite fees, full catering from Friday
night until Monday lunchtime (including Friday dinner, Saturday and Sunday breakfast, lunch and
dinner, and Monday breakfast and lunch; snacks not included) and transport from the local train
station. It also covers entertainment, wristbands and all the fun of the festival – bands, adventurous
activities, relaxation sessions, creative arts and much, much more! All activities are open to leaders,
and there will be a number of leader-only activities and training available, so you’ll be able to join in

Bookings are accepted upon receipt of a non-refundable holding deposit of £100 per group and a
completed booking form, followed by an additional £25 per person four weeks later to secure the
specific number of places you require. To confirm your booking, please ensure that the full balance
payment is made by 31 May 2021.
By April 2021 you will receive further information about the event, as well as a request for travel
information, dietary requirements, additional information and event forms.
Participants will be expected to provide their own tents. Subject to availability, Foxlease or Waddow
Hall may be able to hire out tents for an additional charge. Please contact the appropriate centre to
make arrangements.
Please note: if necessary, leader’s children are able to attend Wellies and Wristbands, but they will
not be able to participate in the main activities of the event. Provisions for suitable activities will be
made where possible. The cost for children is £45, and a deposit of £25 will need to be paid to
confirm this space.

responsibility for any items lost or stolen.

Payment of a deposit for this event confirms your acceptance of the terms and conditions of
booking. Payments can be made via cheque or over the phone by credit/debit card. Please make
cheques payable to ‘The Guide Association’.

Payment
• Deposits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
• You may make your payment by cash, cheque or credit/debit card (unit cheques are preferred).
• Cheques must be made payable to ‘The Guide Association’.
• Bookings will be accepted upon receipt of deposit.
• The full balance must be received by 31 May 2021 to confirm your booking.
• Failure to pay the full balance by 30 June 2021 will result in the cancellation of your booking and
the loss of your deposit.
• The price of this ticket includes entry to the live music festival for a non-refundable price of £16.
The remainder of the ticket price covers accommodation, catering and all activities.
Alteration or cancellation of bookings
• Any increase or decrease in group numbers should be made by 31 May 2021. Please note that this
will be subject to availability.
• Girlguiding will not be able to refund your deposit for a decrease in numbers.
• If you decide to cancel before 31 May 2021, Foxlease/Waddow Hall will refund any balance paid.
However, Foxlease/Waddow Hall will not be able to refund your deposit.
• Cancellations or alterations to numbers made after 31 May 2021 are not eligible for a balance
refund.
• If Foxlease/Waddow Hall is unable to honour a booking due to staff shortages, structural problems
or other unforeseen events that would force the Centre to close, a full refund, including deposit,
will be provided.
Damage
• All accidental damage must be reported to a member of Foxlease/Waddow Hall.
• Damage to any equipment, fixtures or fittings caused wilfully or through misuse will incur a repair
charge to the group or individual responsible.
• Foxlease/Waddow Hall reserves the right to refuse bookings from any group or individual with
outstanding charges for damage on their account.
General
• Foxlease/Waddow Hall and Girlguiding accept no liability for injury to persons or loss or damage to
property while on Girlguiding property.
