This is a PRE-REGISTRATION event.

Fees
Kata: $50 CAD/kata/team
Additional Kata: $25 CAD/kata/team (same team)
A processing fee will be added for each participant
No refunds unless the event is cancelled
Eligibility
Open to all members of Judo Provincial/Territorial Associations and IJF Associations of other countries.
Minimum rank is YELLOW.
Senior results will be considered by Judo Canada to assist in selections for
the 2020 Pan American Kata Championships in Montreal, QC. Other
tournaments and accomplishments are also considered, and the final
selection is at the sole discretion of Judo Canada.

Rules
The IJF Kata rules and regulations will be used to judge
White judogi only
A couple/individual may perform only once in a kata or division whether it be as Tori or Uke
Couples may be made up of male/male, female/female or female/male. No separate divisions
Women must wear a white, short-sleeved t-shirt with circular collar (no “V” necks)
No maximum number of Katas per participant
Surfaces
A 50 cm piece of white tape will be placed six (6) meters from tatami competition area to indicate the
starting position for both Tori and Uke. The center will also be marked.
