Differences to consider
               Majestic Whale Encounters run tours to both Tonga and Tahiti to swim
               with Humpback Whales! When making a decision between the two
               countries, we often get asked what the difference is. We LOVE both

SHOULD I       destinations for many different reasons and here they are listed below...
               Tonga

CHOOSE TONGA     Have been swimming with whales for approx 25 years and have great
                 policies in place and respect for the whales
                 Group size is no more than 4 in the water +1 guide at each swim
OR TAHITI TO     We often have the same whales return year after year
                 Tonga is a very quiet relaxing island its also very isolated providing an
SWIM WITH        untouched beauty
                 Tourism hasn't fully hit Tonga yet so it has less service and can be set
WHALES ?         permanently on "Tonga Time" so we need to practice a little more patience
                 on our visits here

               Tahiti
                 Whale Swimming has been allowed in Tahiti for over 20 years. Though
                 there are also many other attractions offered and so we don't hear about it
                 as much
                 There is no maximum as to number of people in the water, there is a system
                 among the operators and respect of the whales
                 There are many other animals to swim with including Dolphins, Pilot Whales,
                 turtles, sharks and rays
                 The island's beauty is jaw dropping and acts an a backdrop on our daily
                 boat trips. There are also many other activities offered after your tour
                 We stay aboard a beautiful 52ft Catamaran and can sail from around the
                 island of Moorea stopping off at different reefs, bars and restaurants as
                 we please
                 Tourism is a big part of Tahiti and so it has excellent service and you will
                 always get what you pay for

Recently my partner and I took a holiday to Tahiti with Majestic Whale Encounters. We were
celebrating our thirtieth wedding anniversary and wanted to step out of our comfort zone with
an adventure to treasure. What we got was unforgettable memories to treasure. We spent six
nights aboard a catamaran parking in sheltered bays around Moorea each evening. We were
picked up daily by our Tahitian whale whisperer and crew. The skill and affection for their
part of the world was evident by the respect they showed these magnificent marine mammals.
We swam with whales everyday and that was due to the right season and the skill of our team.
Words fail to adequately describe how well we were looked after and just how safe we felt at
all times.
The whole team ensured an anniversary to be remembered their professionalism and care to
the smallest details was outstanding. Thanks we would not hesitate to travel with them again
on any of their many other adventures.

TRIP OVERVIEW

Join us for the ultimate Tahitian adventure while we cruise around the absolutely beautiful
island of Moorea in style on a beautiful 52ft Catamaran and spend our days swimming with
the majestic humpback whales, dolphins, pilot whales, sharks, rays, turtles and many other
fascinating marine life.

The tour is inclusive of 7 nights aboard a brand new Catamaran, all main meals, and of
course 5 days out whale watching and swimming on a privately chartered boat.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Meet at the wharf in Moorea to embark your catamaran for the start of
your tour. We will have a meet and greet and welcome dinner

-Day 2-7 Five of your days will be spent swimming with the beautiful marine life
of Moorea. We will be heading out for our adventure aboard a comfortable,
quiet, shaded whale watching vessel .
You will return each day to the Catamaran at around 1pm for lunch or have the
option of going back to the beachfront to one of Moorea's many wonderful
beach bars!
Dinner will be provided back on board each night again with an option to visit
Moorea for some night activities (markets, bars and more)
One of the days we will be heading to the mainland for a true Tahitian cultural
experience!
*During your time on the boat you will also have time to explore and snorkel the
many beautiful reefs of Moorea. As we charter the whole boat we can decide
each day what we would like to do with our afternoons and evenings.

Day 8- Unfortunately today is your last day. We will disembark at the wharf in
Moorea. Hopefully we will see you again on one of our other whale tours :)

             -What food is included?
             All main meals and soft drinks are included, you will
             need to just buy your own snacks and drinks. There will
             be chances to stop at supermarkets etc. on the trip

FREQUENTLY   -What is the weather like?
     ASKED   It will be Tahiti's winter when the whales arrive, which is
             one of the best months to visit French Polynesia. The days
 QUESTIONS   can be quite warm, usually sitting somewhere between 25-
             32 degrees Celsius but you must also be prepared for some
             colder weather on occasions particualrly while out on the
             whale swimming boat

-What else is there to do when i'm not swimming with
             whales?

             On the Catamaran you can go snorkelling, swimming,
             visit different reefs, laze around with a book and or
FREQUENTLY   cocktail.
             You can also visit land on the tender to go to bars,
     ASKED
             restaurants, cultural shows, beaches , pineapple
 QUESTIONS   plantations and much more

             -What are our chances of swimming with whales?
             They are wild animals so we can never give 100%
             guarantee but we do everything possible to maximise
             the chance of swimming with them. We do 5 days on the
             water for this reason.

             I have dietary requests, can these be catered for? Yes
             of course, just let us know upon booking

SWIMMING WITH
WHALES
You will be spending 5 days out searching
for humpback whales upon a custom built
boat that will have a tour leader, a guide
and a skipper. Part of the fun is keeping a
look out for whales. Once you have found
them, we will then observe their behaviour
to make sure it is safe for both the whale
and the swimmers before quietly slipping
into the water to join them for what will be
a memory that will last you a lifetime. You
will need to be able to swim sometimes up to
100m to get to the whales so it may be a
good idea to do a little bit of swimming at
home just to practice.

Please remember that they are wild animals
so there is never a guarantee on what kind
of experience you will have, but this is why
we have 5 full days, we want to give you
the best chance possible to swim with these
beautiful and often very interactive
creatures.
